Spacehappy Explorer Stephen Hawking

Cosmic astrophysicist and space happy explorer Dr Stephen Hawking, is soon to experience the fiery flames of zero gravity in a sub orbital earth space flight. He has already accomplished his "parabolic dive" training aboard the jet "G-Force One" using the same maneuvers NASA's astronauts employ to experience weightlessness. Hawking's stellar cruise is planned to mind mangle earthlings as early as 2009. Richard Branson's star cruiser will soar to the infinite reaches of space at a height of 360,000ft and achieve a top speed of 2500mph. Branson's starship will launch from the Mothership at 50,000ft.

Image Owner/Creator: Paramount Pictures and/or CBS Paramount Television.

As an eager fan of Star Trek, Stephen Hawking has already toured the Paramount Studio Set while promoting "A Brief History of Time." Stephen's wish to see the sets of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-D was granted and after evaluating Geordi's Warp Core, he said " I'm working on that."

When everyone reached the Bridge, Dr Hawking asked "Could you take me out of my chair and put me in the Captains Chair?" So this was clearly a very big deal. Later on the starry eyed physicist, Stephen Hawking wanted to be on the show. He played himself in a cameo role aboard the starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701-D in Star Trek's TNG episode of "Descent." I believe Leonard Nimoy and Rick Berman were involved and helped make it so!
