Star Trek's Gag Reel

J is for Joke. On Star Trek's stage sets at Paramount Pictures actors were notorious for forgetting their lines. In order to lighten the mood of performing exactly on cue, gooning around and playing practical jokes on each other became common place. Captured on film, treks legendary 'gags' were a great source of entertainment for fans especially when played at Star Trek conventions. Gene Roddenberry released them on blooper reels with Leonard Nimoys bicycle a fan favorite.

Scottys 'Jefferies Tube' became another source of  amusement when 'GNDN' appeared on labels at various Enterprise crawl-ways with 'three way' ladders for crew access. Heres Scotty climbing up one of the original series Jefferies Tubes. The stage crew labelled the 'GNDN' pipes in print so small as to be invisible to the audience. So what does 'GNDN' stands for? "Goes Nowhere, Does Nothing." Have you watched Star Trek's blooper reels yet?

 Which gag is your favorite?

They're ALL funny! If I have to choose, it's Worf hitting the door so hard he fell down.
