Star Trek Top Trumps Star Wars at the Oscars!

Six years on, STAR TREK is still the reigning Science Fiction champion to score big and win at the Oscars. We know now Star Wars EP VII got thrashed by Mad Max 4 despite the force being nominated half a dozen times.

Heres Ben Stiller costumed as a Na'vi hunter presenting at the 82nd Academy Awards in 2010. After slagging off Star Trek and gushing over James Cameron's Avatar, our blue friend finally scrams so Star Trek winners Mindy Hall, Barney Burman and Joel Harlow can victoriously claim their Oscars for best makeup category.

Oscar long and be prosperous.

Star Trek will always be FIRST! (Personally I was disappointed with the Star Wars movie. So little plot there hardly wasn't any. It seemed to be all about special effects battles. yawn.....)

Ben's even more fetching with those ears. And they're original. He didn't go the way of Spock. I like that.

Ben Stillers Spock ears were signed by Leonard Nimoy but he couldn't wear them coz' that would've been too nerdy.

At least for now, there are also still more Star Trek movies out there.

I remember that! I'm a bigger Star Trek fan than Star Wars.

The funny thing is I can still see Ben in all that blue. Great photos. Thanks for sharing this with your followers. I enjoyed the recent blog hop.

At first I thought you were going to talk about the Star Trek Top Trumps game. LOL
Which I actually own.
Nice to see Star Trek get the credit it deserves.

Next year maybe? A Trekkie here since the 1960s. When it was cancelled, my disappointment was monumental.
