E is for Enterprise and Excelsior Engaging the Enemy

Remember when Star Trek's Excelsior and USS Enterprise engaged the enemy. Duh what?

The U.S.S. Excelsior, NCC-2000 came to the rescue in Star Trek VI with General Chang's Bird of prey ready to swoop in for the kill, could Kirk's USS Enterprise NCC 1701 have survived on its own?

'Tickle us, do we not laugh? Prick us, do we not bleed? Wrong us, shall we not revenge?'

BY SILVER 7854 DEVIANT ART

The plan was simple. Enterprise and Excelsior had to blow the living bejeebers out of Chang's Klingon bird of Prey.

Oh now, be honest, Captain. Warrior to warrior...You do prefer it this way, don't you? No peace in our time. 'Once more unto the breach, dear friends. Fire!

Which side were you rooting for? The Klingon Bird of prey, or Earth's Starfleet Federation?

Was it really a fair fight?

Live Long and Prosper.

Colour me clueless.
However natural perversity suggests I would have been barracking for the Bird of Prey.

I like Klingons but not this time.

I need to ask my husband about this. He's a huge Trekkie, so I got him a set of ornaments a few years ago for Christmas. I know one of them is a Bird of Prey. He always arranges them in a certain way. Now I'm kind of wondering if this battle is reenacted on our Christmas tree every year.

Who roots for Klingons, anyway? At least, not until TNG.

Christopher Plummer really loved chewing up the scenery in this film...a bit over the top to put it mildly but I still enjoy it

Is it wrong of me to constantly threaten my nearly-two-year-old niece with blowing her out of the sky?

Klingons usually reign supreme within the United Federation of Planets. I guess defeating Starfleet's finest with glorious battles has established quite the reputation for them....that is until gunslinger Tony came along with his niece. Klingons do not take prisoners...
