IClones Filmmaking Competition

Have you got the Sci-Fi Film makers bug? Is your tricorder switched onto maximum scanning intensity? Pesky space bugs... Because if your bursting with epic space adventure, you're in for a Sci-Fi treat. Warp ahead to Iclone's 2nd annual Filmmaking Competition and participate in Reallusion's Sci-Fi movie competition. With $10,000 hanging in the balance, I figure I've got you hooked but don't wait too long. Its obvious to me trek fan, that your universe will spiral out of control if you let this cosmic opportunity slip by. The deadline is July 7th 2010. All you've got to do is create a short Science Fiction film using IClone's movie software in tribute to a famous movie (Star Trek, Star Wars, Serenity, Battlestar Galactica etc) alternatively you could splice together media content from your favorite video games or gaming software incorporated with Iclone's state of the art graphics.

Sci-Fi enthusiasts with a appetite for directing Sci-Fi films should find Iclone's 101 film terms fascinating. These rules will enlighten fledgling filmmakers in the awesome art of directing and producing the winning Sci-Fi movie. The competition runs from April 14th - July 7th 2010 so get film making and grab the winning prize of $10,000. Entrants may submit up to three movies for award consideration. Star Trek Contest Winner















Today we are pleased to announce our Star Trek DVD and Blu-ray competition winner and our heartfelt congratulations goes to Trekker Fred from the U.S.A. who won by answering our contest. What is Captain James T. Kirks middle name? and as most of you will know (unless you've been living on another planet and please let me know if its possible!! because I love space travel and seeing new lifeforms.) its Tiberius! The contest is now closed. Better luck next time to all the Trekkies that entered but Final Frontier logic clearly dictates there can only be but only one winner.

Star Trek DVD and Blu-ray box sets competition.

Today we are pleased to announce our DVD and Blu-ray Star Trek competition winner and our heartfelt congratulations goes to Trekker Fred from the U.S.A. who won by answering: What is Captain James T. Star Trek's Alternate Realities Dvd Collective box set is the absolute trekker treasure featuring alternate reality episodes from all five Star Trek series plus exclusive special features available on DVD since April 6th 2009.

STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES Season 1 on BLU RAY.

Paramount Home entertainment has produced the first season of STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES in cutting edge Blu-ray technology. The box set features thrilling action adventures with the USS Enterprise 1701 encountering warp technological worlds, disturbed minds, doomsday weapons and enemies of galactic peace. This box set is available in stores to buy from April 27th 2009.

Boasting superior picture and pristine audio for the best possible home viewing experience, the Blu-ray seven disc set includes all 29 first season episodes and a whole host of special features.



Starring one of the most enduring casts in television history led by William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan and Nichelle Nichols, STAR TREK is a worldwide phenomenon and served as a launching pad for numerous spin-off series and feature films. These classic first season episodes started it all, introducing the world to Kirk, Spock and the rest of the Enterprise’s iconic crew.

The first season Blu-ray release of STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES features brand-new technology that provides fans with the best of both worlds by giving them the option to view re-mastered episodes (or view them as originally televised) and hear a newly enhanced soundtrack or opt for the original version.

Also for the first time, fans will be able to enjoy the series in 7.1 DTS-HD English Master Audio, the best sound format possible, but still have the option of selecting the original mono sound heard on the first television airings decades ago.

As part of the special features, select episodes include the “Starfleet Access” bonus content. By choosing the “Starfleet Access” option, viewers will be able to watch the selected episodes with special pop-up trivia and picture-in-picture video commentaries. The set also includes an interactive tour of the Starship Enterprise, rare on-set home movie footage, an inside perspective on what it took to transport Trek into the 21st century and much more.

Go where no fan has gone before when Paramount Home Entertainment debuts the STAR TREK: ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE COLLECTION in a BLU RAY 7 disc Box Set due to hit the stores by the 27th April 2009. Available for the first time in high definition, the STAR TREK: ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE COLLECTION features the first six Star Trek films, which have been digitally remastered in high definition, including a fully restored version of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. With new 7.1 Dolby TrueHD audio and over 14 hours of special features, including 2 ½ hours of all-new material.

The collection also includes a bonus disc entitled “Star Trek: The Captains’ Summit that features a 70-minute exclusive round table discussion hosted by Whoopi Goldberg in which William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart and Jonathan Frakes share candid moments and intimate details about life on the set.



Each film in the collection includes multiple commentary tracks and a bonus BD-Live Star Trek IQ feature. STAR TREK: ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE COLLECTION is available to buy from April 27 2009.

Star Trek - The Motion Picture: Admiral James T. Kirk (William Shatner)is called upon to collect his old crewmates in order to save humanity from a giant, hostile alien vessel steadily approaching Earth and destroying everything in its path.
