Walter Koenig's Star in Hollywood

Legendary Star Trek actor Walter Koenig finally got his reward last Monday for playing Chekov aboard the USS Enterprise NCC 1701.

Looking back on series now, Koenig is the last cast member from classic trek to earn his spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame two days after Star Trek's 46th anniversary.

In the original TV show our navigator steers the ship through thick and thin but hes probably best remembered for his quirky pronunciations. In Star Trek IV Chekov's Russian accent provides good comic relief in a scene when he asks for the location of Nuclear Wessels and is epic in Star Trek 2009.

His wife Judy Levitt, daughter Danielle, fellow co-stars Leonard Nimoy (Spock) George Takei (Sulu) and a radient Nichelle Nichols (80) (Uhura) joined Walter at Tinsel Towns sidewalk for the star-unveiling celebration.

“This is something that you hope and wish for, dream about, but something you never expect to really happen, 'It's a joyous occasion and I am deeply honoured.'said Walter after allot of people inundated the Walk of Fame Committee so they decided last year that he would receive a star.

Who's your favorite Star Trek or science fiction character? Do you think Nichelle Nichols takes a beauty potion for staying so young and beautiful?

Star Trek Into Darkness

Trekmovie sources have just confirmed the title for J.J. Abrams Star Trek 2013 sequel movie. They're calling it 'Star Trek Into Darkness,' so now the word is given with Paramount's blessing, apparently. Star Trek is crossing over into the DARK SIDE!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? YESSSS! We've been waiting for this all our lives, right? It couldn't have been easy for the Team Abrams but I reckon its sounds pretty frackin' awesome and conspiratorial too. How cool is this, I mean really? Imagine a mirror, mirror verse Spock wreaking havoc on the Enterprise's young guns! And who's playing angry Spock, Leonard Nimoy, right? Okay so theres gaps in my theory which maybe you can fill in but hey it'll be worth the wait.

Unlike the Dark Knight, Superman and Spiderman theres really no straight forward superhero for Star Trek to cape up and save the universe. Hence the mysterious title which sounds very cloak and daggery and classified too which is great but the suspense is the real killer. I suspect we're not going to get the whole enchilada until the USS Enterprise hits the cinema theaters on May 17th 2013. So why did Paramount and Team Abrams choose 'Star Trek Into Darkness' for the title? Secrecy of course but you knew that!

I'm guessing Star Trek's villain could be DEEP UNDERCOVER, a saboteur on a highly classified Top Secret mission sent by the Mirror-verse Empire. Perhaps this is where time travelling secret agent Gary Seven makes his rescue bid, saving the Enterprise, foiling with Evil Spock in a desperate attempt to restore the timeline before the villainous Empire defeats the friendly Federation! So far, so good but who knows? Sevens secretary played by Alice Eve? mesmerises Evil Spock by turning into a sexy feline cat giving Gary Seven enough time to zap pointy ears, hehe.

Feverish Speculation over whos really playing Star Trek's darkside villain is truly testing trek fans ever since Karl Urban told us trek's villain was going to be Gary Mitchel, LOL and now we're even more clueless, since Abram's sleigh ride began, LOL.

Who do you think is Star Trek's Into Darkness villain?

Heres a list to help confuse you even more, LOL but do go on, have a go! Its all for a good cause.

Spaceman

Neil Armstrong, Earth's Amazing Spaceman died over the weekend at the great age of 82. Hero to generations, NASA's Apollo 11 commander boldly took earthies to the moon where no-human has gone before. 237,000 miles away humanities hopes and dreams became a reality spreading throughout the stars, lighting up tv screens on Earth. What an awesome achievement. One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.... and it sure was.

Star Trek's TNG 25th Anniversary

Its great seeing our Enterprise Picard troops together again, flying the flag high one more time for ol' times sake. 2012 brought our legendary TNG super heroes back laughing and poking fun at each other as they recounted 7 years of galloping around the galaxy with even the dancing doctor getting in on the act. You'll love the 'Get Riker Free story', lol.

To celebrate Star Trek's TNG 25th Anniversary,TNG hit cinemas with Star Trek THE NEXT GENERATION, debuting in Blu Ray. It was like warp speed ahead Mr Crusher, I want all the power you can muster mister. But Captain if I push the engines any harder she'll blow up! Hehe! I love these lines even though none of them were really spoken on TNG.

The good news is 'The New' BLU RAY version of TNG (season 1 and 2) is ready and extended with new visual effects. You'll discover little details you never saw before and it gets better. The shows episodes appear more vibrant and real as trek was really meant to be. Season 1 has Exclusive Special Features including never before seen archival footage, Brand New Interviews with key players, Gag Reel and more.

Each of the 178 episodes spanning The Next Generation's seven seasons will eventually be reworked. Don't worry if you missed TNG's big blu ray day. You can always stump up the cash for Star Trek's BLU RAY boxsets now they're fully re-edited in TNG DVD format, LOL. Enjoy!

Is this really Patrick Stewart?

Patrick Stewart, Simon Pegg and Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) roam the streets of london and meet gold medalist Ryan Lochte. What a coinincidence! Stewart is in cunning disguise as a light fingered ticket touter but is it really him? Hes funny to watch. Simon Pegg arrives on the scene dully unimpressed by the captain's shenanigans but hey, its the London Olympics! Who cares so long as you get a front row seat.

Stewart cocks it up perfectly and says,

Strike me! Mr Pegg can I just say, I think you were fukin' marvelous in Star Wars! MARVELOUS!

Heres a tale in the ancient art of ticket scalping. I suspect Ryan Lochte might just be a little sore when he wakes up.

Robotic Lifeform

A sentient robot would be a really marvelous feat of engineering, wouldn't it? Imagine having your very own robotic slave to love! You could say goodbye to homework and hoovering around the house forever! Mowing the lawn too would become a thing of the past. Today's impressive robots have computer brains to analyse planets, assemble cars and hoover carpets. What kind of redeeming robotic qualities would you build into an A.I. if your starship crash landed on a deserted planet?

1. Would you build a kind, superior or mean robot? (I beg you to reconsider if you choose the mean machine! Lol!)
2. Would your robot be the friendly type and keep you company into the night?
3. Would your robot be able to learn, play and enjoy itself in its time off?
4. Would your robot be designed to emulate human feelings or have real ones?
5. Would your robot ever disobey your orders, or be completely fail safe with an on off switch?
6. Would your robot be specifically programmed to answer questions with an exhaustive computer memory salvaged from your starship?
7. Would your robot ever complain and say, 'Hey dude, Time Out!'? Hehe...
8. Could your robot ever re-program itself to become more human?
9. Would your robot obey the three laws of Robotics?
10. Would your robot have the strength of 10 men or one?
11. Would you construct a tough emotionless waterproof robot or build a friendly human A.I. that short circuits when it gets wet.
12. Is the kindness and warmth of your robots character more important than its pure intellect?

(You can choose a combination for your answers and add your own)

Dream long and prosper, trekinators.

Nichelle Nichol's encounter with MLK.

In 1966 Nichelle Nichols starred as Lt Nyota Uhura for three seasons in Star Trek's classic series going boldly where no woman has gone before. Heres the audio with Nichelle Nichol's telling her story, its quite fascinating really. For some reason the stars were smiling on Nichelle that faithful weekend when she ran into her biggest fan, Martin Luther King at a Los Angeles NAACP dinner.

During conversation it emerged Nichelle had decided to close her hailing frequencies once and for all. The news didn't go down well with Gene Roddenberry or Martin Luther King who told Nichelle the stark facts of reality. In essense Uhura's character was too important! She showed the nation on tv a universe where African-Americans were seen as they should be seen, Equals. She couldn't abandon the Enterprise now!

Hailing Frequencies Open, trekkers.

Star Trek's 2013 movie sequel

Recently Robert Orci confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch isn't playing Gary Mitchell in Star Trek's 2013 movie sequel. In his interview with Trekmovie Robert Orci brings us up to warpspeed. For now Star Trek's writers are trying their best not to talk about who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing. You have to hand it to them. This kind of movie chicanery builds more intense trek suspense.

In his exclusive interview he reveals some spoilers about Star Trek 2013 new characters cleverly diverting us away from Karl Urban's villainous statement. Heres what we know.

1. We can expect our first sequel trailer to be rolled out in the fall.
2. Trek's writers are down to final names for the movie.
3. Alice Eve is playing a Canon Character.
4. Noel Clarke and Nanzeen Contractor are New Characters.
5. Peter Weller and Joseph Gatt are New Characters too.
6. and the Biggie...Benedict Cumberbatch is playing a Canon Character!
7. The identity of Star Trek's villain is still Top Secret.
8. We do know Alice Eve and Cumberbatch will be playing unique characters from Star Trek the original series!
9. Some have said over at the studio that Star Trek's sequel is better than the prequel.
10. Gary Mitchell isn't a runner but what about Khan?
11. ILM are adding the special effects right now.
12. Team Abrams are trying to preserve the movie experience by keeping it under wraps for as long as possible!
13. We will see James T. Kirk calling the shots from the USS Enterprise captain's chair.
14. Star Trek 2013 will be shot in 3D format.

ScienceFiction.com suspect 'Karl Urban of having punked fans. So there you have it trekinators. In the good spirit of star trek we got punk'd, good, hehe.

Star Trek 2's latest villain?

Photobucket

Star Trek's latest Enterprising sequel is definitely steeped in a cloak of mystery except now the shields are weakening! I never thought I'd hear myself say, Yesss! Great, Shields Weakening!!! But its true! Earlier this year Star Trek Sci Fi Blog dished the trek about whos gunning the good guys in Star Trek 2's sequel, except we were wrong.

So whos the bad guy? We hear you ask.

FACT: Fans know Star Trek 2's sequel wrapped up filming by June 2012. Star Trek 2 is set to hit cinemas in May 2013.

At Trekmovie Lieutenant Alex Kurtzman stuck to his phasers backing secretive Trek Bosses, whose production plans DIDN'T include spilling the beans about Star Trek or about the movies latest Villain.

FACT: So we've been told little until now...

Set your phasers on silver eyed esper with delusions of Godhood. hehe!

FACT: Apparently, a little birdie resurrected Gary Mitchel!

But who did this and why?

FACT: Speculation is running rife on the internet about why Karl Urban who plays our cranky Dr McCoy dropped his hypo. Rumor has it, Bones kinda blabbed about Star Trek 2's big bad wolf at SFX.

In June Kurtzman stated at Trek Movie 'theres going to be NO Star Trek for San Diego's Comic Con' in July. Something tells me trek's bosses will be sending out damage control parties to Comic Con? The good doctor has given us enough cordrazine high to last us well into 2013.

Urban's slipup at SFX was probably unintentional despite complimenting Cumberbatch, it doesn't take a trekkie to figure out who's going to take on the crew of Star Trek's USS Enterprise NCC 1701.

"He's awesome, he's a great addition, and I think his Gary Mitchell is going to be exemplary."

I can scarcely believe this news is on the web.

Spock Inspects Uhura

It doesn't take a trekkie to realize this cunning little vulcan is up to something. Clearly by all accounts a photo-shop. Its obvious the vulcan's fingers are probing Uhura's Starfleet uniform seeking out new lifeforms purely for scientific research, hehe.

But decide for yourselves. Is Mr Spocks 'personal examination' on Uhura suspect or is the vulcan enjoying himself? I mean look at where he's placed his hands.

But all joking aside... really ask yourself...

Does Spock's investigation counts as a proper Mind Meld?
