JEREMY HAWKINS TRIBUTE RIP - 'warp speed mr. sulu...'

Hi Trekkers, Heres a JUNE 2012 Report To The Transporter Room comments thread I'm re- posting in honor of Jeremy Hawkins who died in January. He was our blog buddy who stopped by to say Hi over the years. Its always a shock when COVID strikes, so stay safe people. Jeremy was good at co-hosting with A to Z and it won't be the same anymore.

His graphic blog artistry illustrates happiness delivered by a gifted mind he shared with whomever asked. thanks Jeremy. When you get the time hop over to amazon and buy something, book or t-shirt to support the family. Mine is arriving on the 17th of February.

  3. Spiners good at telling these yarns maurice, he does a classic Picard impersonation too.

Totally Jeremy. You'll find the transporter key beside the retro toys.

  4. i just went to the local comic book store where they have a collection of toys.. they had the galoob's 1988 star trek next gen figures... for like four bucks each. i almost got a few, but i had no money... but the original [more recent] classic set of the bridge that includes figures... was worth half, i think it is time to play with my set. warp speed mr. sulu... you play the theme in your head, like i am.

    damn you economy!

  5. I love these retro toys especially the ships! I've warped around the galaxy with them too, hehe. Its really tough cheese missing the Galoob bargains, Jeremy. These retro toys are sooo cool 'cos well when TNG got huge we were big kids, so the toys took off ahead warp fact 9, hehe.

I suppose the nerd in me loved building and painting AMT's model ships too, (the ones with really cool sound effects and flashing lights) but you couldn't really play with those. My Enterprise is on the shelf crying out for me. It was more fun being the engineer and putting her together. I thought all the instructions and wiring would melt my head but instead I got off building USS Enterprise NCC 1701 and it taught me something. Perservere to the end. It was really worth it. Scotty would have been proud. I felt like an accomplished Starfleet engineer, just kidding but you know what I mean.

  8. Who’s the absolute most terrible, awful blogger on the planet? Me!!! :-o

My sincere apologies for taking so long to get over here, Spacerguy. Would you believe me if I told you the transporter malfunctioned and sent me to another far off galaxy and it’s taken me this long to get back? No...I didn’t think so.

I’m running so far behind on everything, including commenting on blogs, it’s ridiculous. I truly am so pleased and honored that you thought of me (because I love your blog & I love Star Trek) and hope you’ll forgive my inexcusable tardiness. (Congrats on your awards!)

  9. No worries Susan, pesky transporters! Do you want me to send my engineer over? hehe

STAR TREK TNG 'THE PRICE'

Hi Trekkers, Star Trek TNG episode "The price" is hosting a bunch of dignitaries aboard the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D. Its interesting to discover who has their eyes on the Barzan wormhole. Smooth talking Betazoid negotiator Rals shenanigans with Deanna Troi's was just sheer co-incidence right? I don't think so. I mean it can't be easy being the Enterprise-D counsellor.

Image Owner Creator:  Paramount Pictures and or CBS Studios

So with the Barzans gathered and the greedy Ferengis around who slings his hook into Deanna? Ral. His plan (being an empath himself) was to sway the bidders emotions like he was doing with Deanna.

Meanwhile Geordi La Forge and Data  find out the "wormhole shortcut" joining the Gamma Quadrant and the delta Quadrant together isn't so stable. Would have been real neat too. A cool 200 light years shaved off starship spaceflight if the wormhole hadn't been rife with subatomic fluctuations. Yup, it was a dud. Only the Ferengi found out too late!

Something very strange is happening to this wormhole

William Shatner Friend and Defender of Earth Boldly goes where no Blue Orgin has gone Before

Merry Christmas Trekkers and to usher in 2022 heres some Bezos and Shatner Blue Origin fanfare with their rocket shooting off into space. You'll remember the legendary captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise 1701 from Star Trek the Classic Series? Well here he is....

These are our friends, our defenders and our protectors of the United Federation of Earth. Well, good as - apparently William Shatner has gone up into Space big time Trekkers for real, (only Joan Collins is not in agreement! )😁 one to beam up Scotty!

Without hope what have we got?  I'm going up into Space, How many people can say that? Jeff Bezos Concept to make living and pollution a thing of the past.

“I’m so filled with emotion about what just happened,” the screen legend said. “It’s extraordinary. I hope I never recover from this. I hope I can maintain what I feel now.”

What do you think? Are you for or against Space exploration?

Merry Christmas Trekkers!
