Star Trek Beyond's Jaylah (Sofia Boutella) is sitting pretty in the captain's chair. I've added Spock, Kirk and Dr McCoy's thoughts on alien life form stand operating procedures - for some fun. Transwarp theories and equations aside our Enterprise pals do seem a wee bit mesmerized in this photoshop. Perhaps Jaylahs ample warp nacelles need adjustment, lol
The guy here in RED, Scotty sets the ball rolling with "AWW shes a beauty!" So without further a do "Two to beam over, Scotty!" the word is now given by Captain James T Kirk commander of the USS Enterprise NCC1701.
QUESTIONS:
Who stands the best chance of speaking to Jaylah first?
Which one of the Enterprise crew said : "I only use it for medicinal purposes!"
Utopia Planitia loosely translated means the plain of paradise. In 1976 NASA's space probe Viking 2 scored a touchdown on planet Mars on September 3rd. Think back and let's imagine our happy world in 1976. Faster than the speed of sound, Concorde made its first flight across the Atlantic Ocean in under three amazing hours.
USS ENTERPRISE NCC 1701-D
Conversely Star Trek's USS Concord NCC-68711 starship (TNG "All Good Things") takes seconds to cover that distance. The Apple Computer company was formed on February 4th, 1976. Earth's first spaceflight in the search for extraterrestrial life results in exploring MARS!!!
In 1996 scientists discover microscopic evidence of ancient life on MARS!!!
The lander successfully sets down 54.6 million kilometers away in '76 and takes images for Earth's happy ball of beings. Unfortunately no Martians to high five us back but to quote Counsellor Troi in TNG, "I sense the holding back."
A recent NASA discovery in 2016 revealed a large amount of underground ice in the Utopia Planitia region of Mars. So we now know it's possible to sustain humanoid life on MARS!!! Its only logical to surmise Martians are hiding somewhere on the Red planet."
READINGS INDICATE STRONG MARTIAN LIFEFORMS NEARBY
If only the inhabitants weren't so shy of Earthers somebody was just saying the other day. In Star Trek's 51 year history, Utopia Planitia can be overlooked from the Martian hills walking along the surface. Starfleet's spaceship Yards orbiting the planet also gives a clear view of the largest impact basin 16,625 kilometers above the Utopia Planitia region on Mars! So where are the Martians hiding?
MARS WORLD
These starships: USS Fredrickson (NCC-42111) USS Galaxy (NCC-70637) USS Yamato (NCC-71807) USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) USS Odyssey (NCC-71832) USS Equinox (NCC-72381) USS Defiant (NX-74205) USS Voyager (NCC-74656) USS Sao Paulo (NCC-75633) were developed, refit and or built at Star Trek's Federation Utopia Planitia Fleetyards orbiting Mars.
Earth Scientists at NASA first discovered Utopia Planitia on Mars.
SIGNS OF ANCIENT FLOWING WATER ON MARS
Science Fiction writer Kim Stanley Robinson author of Red Mars explores the future colonization and world building of "Utopia Planitia" on the Sci Fi world. (Research took 17 years)
QUESTION Which Sci Fi creator/writer began using "Utopia Planitia" in his Science Fiction work first?
1. Star Trek's - Gene Roddenberry 2. Red Mars - Kim Stanley Robinson You decide. Guess long and prosper!
Heres some fascinating new shots from Star Trek Discovery's stellar new Sci Fi series released only last week via Netflix.
USS Shenzhou - Captain and No1
In the first visual, we see Captain Georgiou of the USS Shenzhou (Michelle Yeoh) and Commander Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) trekking through the desert but what is their mission?
Captain Georgiou
All we know is the Captain and No1 are passing through "terra incognita" in a region from the pilot episode but the trailer reveals much more.... Meanwhile, in another visual No1 - Commander Burnham is planning on beaming over to a Klingon vessel....

Only recently Star Trek's brand new cast took time out from filming to entertain San Diego comic con fans. A 45-minute trailer included news on the characters and a look at the series with fast paced action packed scenes, star wars phaser effect fighting, "fire first, questions later" show case video feature!
The show's debut in September 24th won't leave you disappointed believe me. Star Trek Discovery is boldly going to hyper drive fans with cosmic explosions, forcefields, smart aliens with analytical prowess determined to fight to the end. Available with Netflix, CBS and others. I guess its decision time.
Players and Star Trek fans can now look forward to Disruptor Beam'sStar Trek Timelines must save the day in the latest month long mega event...... The video “A Good Day to Lie”, delves into iconic Klingons, bat'tehla fighting and all that great Warrior honor stuff.
Apparently, the galaxy is in chaos again. Here's Disruptor Beams new “A Good Day to Lie” trailer, so enjoy...
As part of the Klingon fun, players have access to brand-new Klingon-themed Gauntlets, limited-time Distress Calls, and rewards, as well as many new characters such as the legendary Kortar, a mythological god-slayer with immense power.
The first of four events in the series, “Scales of Power,” started last Thursday, July 6, So now "we the players" thats us are expected to enter the fierce realm of Klingon politics after Chancellor Martok has gone missing.
In his absence, several galactic powers are vying for control of the now open seat on the Klingon High Council. Think about it. This gives Fleet captains a unique chance to steer the Klingon Empire into an age of tolerance or economic prosperity if.....you really want more power.
Subsequent events will include “When Giants Walk”, “The Heart of the Empire,” and “Blood for Blood.”
(“July is Klingon Month in Star Trek Timelines!”) translated into the Klingon language is:
Hugo Award winner, Nebula Award winner and friend of Gene Roddenberry, Isaac Asimov is considered one of the Big Three" science fiction writers of his generation with hundreds of entertaining books to his credit. Most of the sci-fi maestro's paperbacks are available on Amazon with the Foundation Trilogy in hardback also. So is Foundation any good I hear you cry?
The Foundation Series is a sweet read which clearly shows the emperor's influence during the timeline. Many Science Fiction stories have a hero vs the machine - to fire our imaginations, so far I have determined that there isn't really a continuity of characters from beginning to end except for the mathematician, Hari Seldon but even he dies. There are others like his assistant, Gaal Dornick. Seldon's sidekick. His crucial discovery is so fantastic, its suppressed but during the series the mathematician is later brought to stand trial. The trilogy spans the entire galaxy and not one ET make a grand entrance. Many come and go like Emperor Cleon but I won't be a killjoy.
So if you're an Asimov fan, Geek, or Nerd you're in for a treat. While the technology appears Flash Gordon, the trekker will obviously enjoy Asimov's Futurism. His "through the lens" perspective gives a unique timeline experience covering the ages but all is not what it seems.
The first volume Foundation establishes the colony Terminus called The Foundation, and the various challenges and crises it has to face and solve in the increasing chaotic galactic empire.
Foundation and Empire, the second volume, deals with a new unforeseen challenge in the ascendancy of The Mule, a mutant with extraordinary powers that can enslave whole planets and even causes the collapse of the first Foundation.
In Second Foundation the final volume, as the title suggests, the Second Foundation comes into its own as a force to be contended with. Unlike the first foundation, who were masters of technology, the members of this society are masters of mind control, so have a fair chance to defeat The Mule.
The setting is in a gigantic galaxy wide empire with nuclear gadgets and offbeat vibrant effects. However, these are only interesting gizmos without too much importance to the major story regarding their function.
Gaal Dornick springs forth as a dedicated Hardcase in the beginning only to disappear mysteriously before the end. Hari Seldon is another character whose interaction held onto my curiosity because his discovery makes you think outside the box, PsychohistoryDuh What? I became an Asimov fan quite by accident when I read the Last Question, which got me started on futurism, science, technology and I've been hooked ever since.
Traditionally, Star Treks bridge officers have been easy enough to seek out and identify because of their Gold, Blue, and Red uniforms but let's hear what Trekyard have to say.
Here's an hour and a half of Star Trek awesomeness!!! William Shatner is hosting with Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden, Jonathan Frakes, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis and Robert O’Reilly on stage at Silicon Valley Comic Con - last week.
The event?
Why Star Trek's 30th The Next Generation reunion of course,
"I'm OVER HERE OFFICER" Please help find me an OASIS fast, I need water!!!"
OMG did you see her? Medical Tricorder readings appear to indicate, I'm Obsessed with illusions in Star Trek blue uniforms - like this knockout. Where did she go? did you see her?
STAR TREK OVERSEER DEFENDING OUTPOST
QUESTIONS: Is this scantily clad Star Trek blue Outpost defender for real or a mirage? How else could she have disappeared so fast into thin air? Could I be hallucinating?
On a trekker note "Medical Miracles" has become a fascinating set of buzz words in science, engineering and sci-fi. I introduced this concept here at Star Trek Sci Fi Blog eleven years ago and then wowsers! NASA's David Allen Batchelor shares further insight on "the Science of Star Trek" at the NASA Website. You read right trekker, just remember Spacerguy broke the news right here, FIRST.
My subject at the time was simple and remains popular even now. I chose "Dr McCoys Medical Miracles" as the subject title for my thesis in 2006 and wrote about McCoys "Medical Miracles". NASA's physicist David Batchelor gives his informed opinion on Star Trek's "Medical Miracles" revealing fantastic things about Star Trek's futuristic features. For instance are android positronic brains (imagined by Isaac Asimov) the real or unreal deal?
In Star Trek's universe. He points out whether 1.) Technologies work. 2.) Technologies/ certain stories plots in star trek are scientifically accurate or not. He also highlights mistakes from a fun physics perspective. What works and what doesn't work is no laughing matter.... get it???? but I believe I can boldly up the ante on NASA's Maestro of Physics, hehe. I plan on writing a piece on Dr Crusher's Medical Miracles to energize some TNG fun in our trekverse.
So whats my trekkie ace on NASA's Star Trek physics expert, David Allen Batchelor?
No biggie really,
During my trek voyages, I've discovered new evidence coming from science fiction into reality! Star Treks Tricorder now officially exists but does it work? Apparently, the "Qualcomm Tricorder X-Prize Foundation" started a global competition which Final Frontier Medical Devices won and received $2.5 million bucks.
What can it actually do?
The device can diagnose 34 health conditions long before 24 hours elapses using a custom built AI. The beauty of this thing are the non-invasive sensors providing a final analysis on the patient while cross referencing all available medical data on medical conditions.
The Roddenberry Foundation has added $1.6 million for the development of these tricorders where they will eventually reach patients in hospitals across the world.
Can you see a Star Trek tricorder diagnosing your health years from now?
Isn't Alex J Cavanaugh the coolest for giving me a shout out?
What do you think of David Allen Batchelor article "the Science of Star of Star Trek"?
I coined Dr McCoys Medical Miracles in 2006 but I'm a trekker not database!
