Leonard Nimoy passed away on Friday the 27th February at the age of 83. All over the world tributes have poured in from NASA, Celebrities to Barack Obama.
I never really expected this day to really come. Leonard was universally loved for playing the pointy eared Mr Spock devoted to logic and so much more. He was remarkable and will be sorely missed.
Deforest Kelly's Dr McCoy captured Mr Spock's passing best in Star Trek's Wrath of Khan as you'll remember heres what he said,
McCoy: He's not really dead. As long as we remember him.

Sad day in the whole universe... you and your site was the first I had thought of when I heard the news. He as a human will be truly missed, he as a Vulcan... somewhere there is a Genesis planet waiting to be discovered. LLAP!

Yes, sad day for all of us. He will be remembered by so many.
Like many I thought he would live forever just like Spock. He did not look at all well when I saw a pic of him last June but I still thought he would continue on. he is iconic and he will continue to live long and enrich us with his work
I think it was the fans that kept Leonard going. He called us his adopted grandchildren.
It was shocking when DeForest Kelley died. Nimoy dying so suddenly (as far as the public is concerned) marks a defining moment in the advancing legacy of Star Trek.
Leonard Nimoys death is such a shock to star trek fans everywhere. Hes left really big shoes to fill.
It's just sad that we visited each other's blog this week, and in both cases we do so to remember someone who has died.
I was never a Sci-Fi fan, but Spock was a fantastic character played brilliantly by Nimoy.
He, too, shall be missed...
I didn't think it would happen either. Leonard Nimoy was such a great guy and he will be missed. :(
By all accounts, he seems to have been a good man on top of it all. Our loss is great. But the legacy shall survive the man, many times over.
Well said. He was old and sick, but it still seemed way too soon. What a treasure.
