CBS only? Not cool.
Most of my streaming comes from NetFlix, Hulu, or Amazon. Most stations will post the previous night's talk shows the next day as well. (Which is good, as no way I could stay up late enough to watch Jimmy Kimmel.)

Good news! I have Netflix and Amazon, but I'm not ready to jump to a new streaming service. Of course, if it's awesome I'll get it, but the reviews have better be amazing.

I think it's a little shady to have a series available only on your streaming channel. I think it's just a gimmick and it'll change (to some degree) by January 2017. If they don't partner with another streaming channel like youtube or what have you, I'd be very surprised.

As for streaming, I'm currently using Amazon Prime.

Its generally accepted that J.J. Abram's Star Trek 2009 movie made a mistake when Nero blew up the planet Vulcan and killed Spock's mother. Trekkers are understandably upset, even today. All you have to do is visit Star Trek forums. Now we have to pay to see our Star Trek heroes on a new streaming service. How will this saga unfold? Only time will tell. One thing is for sure - Star Trek lives!

I'm sure I'll watch the new series. However, I still have DS9, Voyager and Enterprise to plow through so it might be a while.

CBS All Access is now streaming Star Trek from Amazon's Fire TV and probably others. I'm sure Quark is beaming across the galaxy collecting Latinum gold with a big smile on his Ferengi face.

I also voice my objections: why blow up Vulcan? Where can it go from here? Time travel?

No matter. I'll be there.

A new Star Trek series sounds like fun, but I'm not sure if I'd be willing to sign up with CBS. I stream with Netflix and Amazon Prime.

International access?

I don't pay for any streaming. I don't even like paying for the satellite TV I've got now. I guess I'll survive not seeing Star Trek episodes.

Whoever streams this first, this is fantastic news - a new series of Star Trek in 2017!

I think the whole concept has come a long way since it launched in the 60's, and I think it's incredible to think of it still thrilling audiences over 50 years later. I hope they can attract a strong cast, great writers and a new way to tell us the story of a more evolved mankind exploring the stars!

With so many services offering original content, it's no longer about ratings or convenience, where and how new shows appear. So this is not surprising at all, especially if CBS isn't sure Star Trek will pull out big ratings. The more limited access becomes, the more likely positive buzz emerges. Weird, these modern times...

So do I Colm, Star Trek's new series has the potential to be an exciting, captivating show with provocative lifeforms seeking out the center of the universe and who knows? what awaits in uncharted space. In order to be successful, I hope creators can set trends by reinventing instead of ripping off old "Star Trek" stories. Star Trek stories have different levels of meaning to millions of fans, trekkers and trekkies. Now thanks to the hope in the form of J.J. Abrams and Justin Lin we have new young minded people getting hooked on sci-fi movies.

Oh YES and a Next Generation Series speeding through cyberspace launching a Starship which could break previous records. Imagine the turmoil! Now theres something to think about Tony. Go Star Trek!

I don't really get to stream, since I'm outside the US.
