STAR TREK TNG 'THE PRICE'

Hi Trekkers, Star Trek TNG episode "The price" is hosting a bunch of dignitaries aboard the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D. Its interesting to discover who has their eyes on the Barzan wormhole. Smooth talking Betazoid negotiator Rals shenanigans with Deanna Troi's was just sheer co-incidence right? I don't think so. I mean it can't be easy being the Enterprise-D counsellor.

Image Owner Creator:  Paramount Pictures and or CBS Studios

So with the Barzans gathered and the greedy Ferengis around who slings his hook into Deanna? Ral. His plan (being an empath himself) was to sway the bidders emotions like he was doing with Deanna.

Meanwhile Geordi La Forge and Data  find out the "wormhole shortcut" joining the Gamma Quadrant and the delta Quadrant together isn't so stable. Would have been real neat too. A cool 200 light years shaved off starship spaceflight if the wormhole hadn't been rife with subatomic fluctuations. Yup, it was a dud. Only the Ferengi found out too late!

Something very strange is happening to this wormhole

Never enter an unstable wormhole.

It takes a lot to get the best of Deanna.

I met the actress years ago in ABQ at a con. My goodness, was she skinny!

A Ferengi would find a way to make a profit off of that even if it is unstable.

You just never know whats on the other side besides remember Star Trek the motion picture? Captain Kirk's Enterprise enterprise encountered an asteroid within the wormhole.

We see Deanna Troi from a new perspective when she encounters the empath negotiator. Its not hard to understand why she would fall for such a slick conman. Deanna is a beautiful woman in her prime. Why shouldn't she let her hair down, considering she has to listen to whinny complaining crew and nursemaid them 7 days a week, LOL.

Im sure there is a way. A Ferengi without profit in no Ferengi at all.

I'm pretty sure that episode was the first time anything was said about how the galaxy was divided up into Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta Quadrants. Very low key thing at the time, but such huge ramifications for all the Star Trek shows that were yet to come.
