The movies world premiere took place at Los Angeles on Dec 14th with a razzmatazz of invited guests, Stormtroopers, Chewy, R2D2, CP3O, J.J. Abrams, George Lucas and legions of fans swarming up to the red carpet. The films movie director J.J. Abrams even got in on the action pausing to take a selfie of himself with some fangirls.
VERDICT? I must confess, the sheer size and attention to detail is amazing. The movie is mixed with an exciting new and spectacular old feeling which has made it a hit. So big in fact, Mark Hamill is warning fans not to fall for fake autographs. Heres a great shot of Star Wars 501st Legion taken in Singapore. Look how low pitched their rifles are slung.
I guess Vaders Stormtroopers can't shoot it out with rebel factions at the opening première. Vaders advancing legion gives the Jedi a chance to break a leg and get the best front row movie seats.
Hey these guys aren't Jedi's! What happened to the good guys? Were you one of Jedi or the Sith? Did you wear your uniform? Spot any Trekkies hiding in the audience?

It is indeed a brilliant one, watched it and enjoyed every minute. Have a wonderful new year!
I entirely agree Blogoratti, its definitely worth seeing. Have a happy New Year, my friend.
I haven't seen it yet, but the temptation is there.
How many times have you seen it (so far)?
Happy New Year to you and yours.
Got to see it to believe it E.C. The Force Awakens is surreal which draws you into the story. Princess Leia is now General Leia, so you'll see original and new arrivals like BB8 and others. I enjoyed the retro mix of old and new, so theres something there for everyone.
Have a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year. ☺
I've seen it twice so far. I got to see it this week at Washington, DC's outstanding Uptown theatre on a wide, wraparound screen - magnificent!
I have a feeling the only way I will get to see it is on DVD. Sad.
Those pictures all look great. Live Long and Prosper to you too or maybe I should have said May the Force be With You.
Thanks Sandy and may 2016 shine happily on you also.
J.J. Abrams knew what he was doing with Star Wars A. Squid - I find it fascinating Star Trek Beyond is trekking into the unknown with new alien world and villain. The Beastie Boys threw me at first but I reckon its a sign universal bedlam is definitely on the cards.
Star wars is famous for its mind blowing all embracing panoramic locations Jo. Trekkie guy looks so pleased to meet R2D2, I wonder is Kenny Baker inside? I met him a couple of years ago - great guy.
These are great pics and I do want to see this film...I shall wait until the crowds are a bit less

Hi Spacerguy - I can't say I'm enamoured to see it .. but I might - I prefer more avant garde films ... but we'll see ... delighted you enjoyed it - makes for a fun end to 2015 and beginning of 2016 - thinking about the world beyond ...
Happy New Year and enjoy 2016 - cheers Hilary
The only Star Wars movie I'd seen was the 1st when it came out. Never really saw the 2nd or any of the others. More power to those who enjoyed all the sequels to the original, but I'll probably pass and wait until it comes to pay-cable in year or two.
