Star Trek Beyond's Jaylah (Sofia Boutella) is sitting pretty in the captain's chair. I've added Spock, Kirk and Dr McCoy's  thoughts on alien life form stand operating procedures - for some fun. Transwarp theories and equations aside our Enterprise pals do seem a wee bit mesmerized in this photoshop. Perhaps Jaylahs ample warp nacelles need adjustment, lol

The guy here in RED, Scotty sets the ball rolling with "AWW shes a beauty!" So without further a do "Two to beam over, Scotty!" the word is now given by Captain James T Kirk commander of the USS Enterprise NCC1701.

Who stands the best chance of speaking to Jaylah first?
Which one of the Enterprise crew said : "I only use it for medicinal purposes!"

Actor Chris Hemsworth is excited about starring in the new movie Star Trek 4. The Avengers superhero "Thor" and Captain James T Kirks father "George Kirk" made his debut while aboard the (USS Kelvin) in Star Trek 2009. -

Apparently Chris is rumoured to return for the next blockbuster Star Trek sequel. Word is Producer J.J. Abrams has pitched two versions of Captain Kirk to intersect along the space time continuum for Paramount Pictures/fan approval in Star Trek Beyond's sequel.

At this stage speculation is wild over at Cinemablend over how our master of cliffhangers J. J. Abrams will exhilarate fans when Star Trek 4 hits theaters. MTV caught up with Chris Hemsworth on the Red Carpet of the Golden Globes. Chris has confirmed that Star Trek 4 is going to happen.

Hemsworth: "he’s got an amazing sort of pitch on the whole thing"
In further developments at Slashfilm J.J. Abrams has confirmed

Abrams: “the reason we made a deal with Chris Hemsworth as soon as we could” was because they have concocted a really “amazing story.”

The good news is Paramount Pictures has confirmed that Chris Hemsworth has signed up so its a done deal!

Could George Kirk have survived in Star Trek 2009 and emerged through the other side of a black hole in some time travel twist?

Live long and Prosper.

Happy New Year Everyone! On 21st May 1987 Gene Roddenberry's brand new TNG crew was splashed all over the Phoenix Newspaper. At first reactions were mixed. Set 100 years in the future (2364) not everyone was convinced TNG would succeed with a bald guy in charge instead of Captain Kirk commanding the Enterprise and her crew. Of course trek wouldn't have scored big and prospered without all these beautiful females to serve and defend king and starship.
Troi's cheerleading outfit was a classic, so heres some TNG women armed to the teeth although it does beg the question doesn't it? Why was Tasha Yar the only one allowed to carry a phaser?

At the time Star Trek the Voyage Home hit cinema screens trekkies were all hooked on the classic crew. So when agents for William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy rubbed studio executives noses in the dirt for more cash, treks leading stars signed a 2.5 million deal each and the fourth ''Star Trek'' movie was produced in 1986.

This year Star Trek The Next Generation celebrates its 30th anniversary. When TNG premiered in September 28th 1987 my eyeballs melted onto the TV screen along 27 million other fans. Thirty years on TNG is still on the air thanks to the organizational wizardry of visual effects maestro Ronald B Moore and his unique special effects. He developed systems to help organize massive projects, contractors and other elements needed to produce TNG's weekly special effects.

In todays technological computer age HD and CGI allow moves which were impossible with model ship and motion control. However ST TNG set the new standard. Yes it took years for computer generated ships to be used more and more. but TNG was there from the beginning. I couldn't find the images used when filming the Enterprise-D going to warp so heres the link instead.

Captain Picard's galaxy class starship (USS Enterprise NCC 1701) launched on stardate 40759.5 from the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards on time. The Federation's flagship was a beauty, bigger, better, faster and loaded with extravagant technological capability - not to mention firepower and word spread. Yet TOS had a number of episodes written by major SF authors delivering cracking punchlines, wit and great stories for characters like Kirk, Spock McCoy and Uhura.

The greatest thing for me is Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek embraces a future of unlimited possibilities using twentieth century science to "make it so" in the 24th century. So now we've got starships, warp drive, dilithium crystals, transporter beams, phasers, replicators, Romulan cloaking devices, warbirds, tricorders. References to the Persian Gulf, Central America, Aids, and Captain Picard's TNG crew hopping from planet to planet was the New Star Trek in 1987. How times have changed yet again with the arrival of nutrek and Star Trek Discovery.

 Isn't the 24th century cool?
Which show are you a fan of TNG, TOS, DS9, VOY or ENT?
Heres the low down on why Wil Wheaton quit Star Trek. Did he choose wisely?
Paramount Pictures sold a 78 inch model USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D at Christies auction for a princely sum.  Was it....

1. $750,000
2. $550,000
3. $350,000

Star Trek Beyonds Wildcard

This week Star Trek director Justin Lin is planning some reshoots with the 3rd instalment of the rebooted "Abramsverse" movies, Star Trek Beyond. The good news is Iranian actress Shohreh Aghdashloo is joining the ranks of Starfleet's finest but what role does she play?

Fans will remember her from Rosewater, Xmen, Last stand, 24 or House of Sand and Fog. To date she won an oscar nomination and took home an Emmy for supporting actress in 2009. So whats the expose on Shohreh? We hear you ask. Well rumor has it shes important. We don't know her name yet, but shes got a seat of power at the Federation's High Command, now that gotta count for something! Personally I love the idea of having a powerful female in charge.

Will she be snarky and fierce like Fleet Admiral Alynna_Nechayev who bossed Riker around in Star Trek TNG Chain of Command P1 or something else?  If Shohreh Aghdashloo (Characters Name Unknown) ordered the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 to obliterate the swarm of alien spacehips then Captain Kirk must be pardoned for wrecking the bloody ship again!

But does she give the order? What do you think?

Which of these "Captains orders" grabs your fancy?

1. Ahead Warp factor One or
2. Engage!!! Warp Nine!

“Star Trek Beyond,” hits movie theatres on July 22nd.

Snarky Long and Prosper, Trekkers.

Galaxy Quest's' Tommy Webber (Daryl Mitchell) is annoyed. (The guy on the far right) Well he's good reason to be. Starfleets so called "Battle Strategist" has broken the bloody ship again! (I photo-shopped Captain Kirk's head onto Captain Nesmiths, so Sir Alexander Dane (Alan Rickman) could give him a good telling off. Well someone had to.)

Its obvious we need a Star Trek Trailer 2 update on this sad situation, so remain calm and try not to get too shook up.....

Its like Admiral Pike said in Star Trek Into Darkness - Mr Kirk is acclimating himself to the role of First Officer. Its a hard fact facing imminent defeat, so trekkies maybe its time to get realistic. Say your prayers, eat your vitamins and all hands abandon ship!

Star Trek Beyond hits cinemas on July 22nd 2016.

Live Long and Prosper, trekkers and trekkies.

Star Trek Beyond Newsflash

Star Trek Beyond Trailer 2 has yet to beam across the galaxy. It seems Justin Lins fast and furious motorcycles, sexy aliens and bigger explosions is taking trekland by surprise..

The Beastie Boys track "Sabotage" is just the beginning of all out war! Will Star Trek Beyond reignite the philosophical trekkie fundamentals of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek or cause utter chaos?

After the partial rehash of Star Wars, can Star Trek follow in Han Solo's footsteps and score big at the box office? The only hitch is William Shatner isn't in the movie. Its a real pity too because all we need is the Solo ending sending Grandpa Kirk off in style.

Visualize Admiral Kirk hamming it up with a stake through the heart as hes being jettisoned out an airlock, Hammer Horror style! Is less more? Was once enough? Is Galia or Uhura the most likely candidate to kill captain Kirk?

Live long and be prosperous, trekkers and trekkies.

Star Trek Beyond Teaser Facts

Today Trek is boldly venturing beyond the frontiers of its five year mission. Its different and a far cry from its predecessor. The official Star Trek Beyond trailer is an awesome one minute and 34 seconds long now beaming teasers all over the nation. The bad news is the Federations battlecruiser the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 is totalled beyond salvage - shes gone.... So now, villainous Kraal (Idris Elba) emerges from beyond the shadows on an alien world! Its payback time with Captain Kirk's crew on the run.

So I'm reserving judgement until Star Trek Beyond premières on July 22nd 2016. I have to admit, despite mixed reactions Star Trek's movie trailer has raised lots of questions.

1. Did Kraal send the hostile "swarms" to attack the USS Enterprise NCC 1701?
2. Who put the beastie boy music on loudspeaker - Scotty or Captain Kirk?
3. No ship, No crew, how are we going to get out of this one? How many Enterprise crew survived?
4. Is Mr Spock fatally wounded?
5. Whos closing in on Dr McCoy and Spock's co-ordinates in the planets rocky region?
6. Who beamed Spock up to safety from the surface of the alien planet? and to where?
7. Does Star Trek need cute and cuddly aliens in fur and feathers to give the movie colorful meaningful mayhem like Star Wars?

8. Has Kaylah got special alien powers? "I know why you're here"
9. Why is captain Kirk propelling himself into the air on a motorbike? "What the h*ll is this?"
10.Is Kraal upset about the expansion of the United Federation of Planets? Captain -This is where the frontier pushes back!
11. Why is Uhura screaming with the grey alien watching her?
12. Why is Hikaru Sulu, pilot of the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 wearing a seatbelt?
13. Whats the verdict, Kirk or Kraal? Hero or Villain - who do you want to see push back the frontier?

Justin Lin is directing Star Trek Beyond off a screenplay by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, produced by J.J. Abrams. Starring Chris Pine, Idris Elba, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Deep Roy and Simon Pegg.

What did you like about Star Trek's teaser trailer? Who's your favorite Star Trek Beyond character? Why do you think Uhura is pressed against a window crying her lungs out?

Live Long and be prosperous, Trekkies, Trekkers and Movie Fans!

Star Trek Beyond's Trailer

Star Trek Beyond's - trailer 1 is here, finally. Its showtime with the new USS Enterprise NCC 1701 crew tearing up some alien world and btw, they've gone and wrecked the bl**dy ship again!!! Earlier in the year we speculated the skunk lady (Sofia Boutella) would be contending with Star Trek's fearsome villains, WELL, we were right!

Here's Star Trek's killer gazelle fighting a Jem Hadar type alien in Star Trek Beyond. Doesn't she look great?

"This is where the frontier pushes back." Heres Idris Elba's character "Kraal" speaking from the chaos.  The dude actually looks like Satan.. (I reckon the reason Worf was so popular is because he looked real, fans liked the moving face and identified with the Klingon.) Kraal is a different alien altogether so you'll have to decide.

So now we've no ship, no crew and a bewildered Captain Kirk pondering his faith having stuffed up command for a 3rd movie in a row.

Seriously, does new age Kirk know what hes doing? LOL I sure hope Kirk doesn't turn out like Captain Nesmith in Galaxy Quest. Remember him? Hilarious - which likely points at where Star Trek Beyond is going into the future -

The world première of the film kicks off Star Trek's 50th anniversary celebrations on July 22nd 2016. Is Idris Elba's Kraal on a thrill to kill spree? Is it written in the stars for the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 to turn into a blazing fireball?

Will Keenser save the day? - I sure hope so, trekkers. Live long and Prosper!

Beyond Star Trek and Star Wars

Star Trek Beyond is the third movie in JJ Abrams reboot trilogy directed by (fast and furious) Star Trek kid Justin Lin. The plot of Star Trek Beyond is still a mystery. Will we be seeing Klingons, Romulans, Vulcans or any other familiar alien races?

1. It seems the Star Trek kid is keeping stump, curse him.
2. We do know Sofia Boutella and Idris Elba are getting their alien on for the movie.
3. Fiona Vroom is playing the Green Orion Girl.
4. Joe Taslim, Lydia Wilson, Sofia Boutella, Idris Elba have Top Secret identities according to IMDB.
5. Star Trek Beyond has Twenty Five stuntmen and women.

The latest news is Captain Kirk's USS Enterprise NCC 1701 is departing at the end of STID to primarily explore new worlds and civilisations.

"They (USS Enterprise NCC 1701) haven’t really gone on their five-year mission, so what we experienced in the TV show hasn’t been touched on yet. That sets up an opportunity for exploration and the deeper you go, the more you are examining humanity. Those are the things that I absorbed as a kid and hope to tap into and embrace and celebrate."

Now with the release of Star Trek's New Series in January 2017 fans want to know: Is Star Trek's New CBS Series set in Gene Roddenberry's Prime Universe or J J Abrams reboot universe? and what about Star Trek Beyond? When are we getting our first official Star Trek Beyond trailer?

QUESTION: So which universe are you hoping for trekkie, G R Prime-verse or Abramsverse?

Which epic empire, Star Wars or Star Trek deserves to rule supreme over the entire Galactic Federation of Planets? “Star Trek,” which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2016, is one of the most successful entertainment franchises of all time. So don't let that influence you.

What is your final say? Which movie is going to cry havoc at the Box office and let slip the dogs of war!  Live Long and prosper, Terrans.

It's officially official. Paramount Pictures, Skydance, Bad Robot and IMAX Corporation have confirmed that Star Trek Beyond will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX format and released in IMAX theaters worldwide beginning July 22, 2016.

Star Trek Beyond Mission

Hey Trekkers, haven't you heard Star Trek Beyond is gearing up for its 5 year mission?

The Villain - Big Bad Elba has a few scenes with Mr Spock.

1. F is for fresh new territory as the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 seeks out furious new lifeforms.
2. Fast, trektastic, fun adventures sounds so good. So whats the secret ingredient?
3. Director Justin Lin is power propelling the movie but I suspect Chris Pine/Captain Kirk knows why Sofia Boutella is a bleached out alien!

4. The Enterprise cast is back for a third run in strange lands away from Starfleet HQ. So be jolly and laugh it up with Dr McCoy's finagle folly.
5. Just remember Trekkies, trek out and party! Star Trek Beyond opens on the 22nd July 2016 -

Take it easy with a splash of Klingon Prune Juice - A Warriors Drink!

Idris Elba - Groundbreaking Villain

Star Trek Beyond - The thirteenth movie directed by Justin Lin is currently filming in futureland - the city of tomorrow, Dubai. Wide speculation is running rife about Star Trek's new bad guy, Idris Elba. Since the news broke about "Beyonds" antagonist, The BIG QUESTION remains UNANSWERED.

Who's the most likely villain to take out Captain Kirk's (Chris Pine) USS Enterprise NCC 1701?

Whats his name? Idris Elba knows only hes not telling!!! Earlier in the year, I reported Sofia Boutella is contending with Star Trek's fearsome villains - 007 style -  as the perfect sexy killer machine with secret moves to blow us away - hehe.

So who is Star Trek's Mr Evil? and whats the beef this time round?

Heres what Simon Pegg and Idris Elba have told us so far - thanks to MTV.

SIMON PEGG: That’s not true…I heard there’s a rumor he’s [Idris Elba] been spoken to about stuff, so he may be in the film, but he won’t be a Klingon or maybe he will.

"You’ve never seen me play a character like this."

"It’s quite an interesting journey, which I think is groundbreaking for the franchise. But, it still keeps with the ’classic bad guy is a classic bad guy’ tone."

“Simon [Pegg] and the team have written a very interesting, complex journey for my character,”

"I think Star Trek has prided themselves as being quite classic when it comes to villains, like ‘he’s a guy who wants to end the world."

It seems details for Idris Elba’s mysterious role are being kept hidden somewhere on Ceti Alpha V.

Is Idris Elba cool enough to tell us who MR EVIL really is? You decide. Unless Elba spills the beans, I'm calling him Mr Evil.

Its over to you trekkers, trekkies and bloggies. Whats your best guess?

Who is Star Trek Beyond's Lead Villain?

Star Trek Beyond directed by Justin Lin (8th July 2016 release) is shrouded in mystery. Story is key to a good movie, so why do action packed space adventures expanding into the cosmos score big at the box office? Remember Guardians of the Galaxy? It made a cool $774,176,600 worldwide.

Idris Elba

Star Treks thirteenth movie is currently filming in Vancouver, BC, Canada with all the regular cast. So far the movies wild cards include Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella and Martial Artist Actor, Joe Taslim. Unlike the Dark Knight, Doctor Strange and Thor - heroes in Star Trek can hardly cape up to save the galaxy. What about the villains? Is Idris Elba getting his Klingon on for the movie?

SIMON PEGG: That’s not true…I heard there’s a rumor he’s [Idris Elba] been spoken to about stuff, so he may be in the film, but he won’t be a Klingon or maybe he will.

Sofia Boutella

PEGG: “It’s a really interesting, complex character,”

Shoot, so much for Klingons being in the big picture. Apparently the crew of the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 are going to new parts of the galaxy and meeting new species, so it's unlikely to be a Klingon-verse movie.

JUSTIN LIN: It’s all new and fresh. The Klingons, Romulans and other species are great, but it’s time to go further. It has been fun to focus on creating whole new worlds and species.

Joe Taslim.
It seems Sofia Boutella has been chosen to battle Star Trek's fearsome villains. No biggie really, you should see Gazelles gymnastic moves in Kingsman: The Secret Service. She's the perfect killer machine for engaging rebel forces in Star Trek beyond.

I love the idea Boutella's character having secret abilities to reverse Star Trek's altered timeline. Will planet Vulcan or Romulus make a come back? Whos playing the lead villain, I wonder? Any ideas? Heres a list to confuse us even more....

Its over to you trekkers, trekkies and bloggies. Whats your best guess?
