EVERYONE MATTERS - STAR TREKS SCIENTIFIC FUTURE GIVES US HOPE

 Hi Trekkers! In an age of tongue twisting technobabble getting your trekkie on at a Star Trek convention was such an enjoyable experience. Enthusiastic fans looking towards the stars, concerned about our little world have Star Treks scientific future to cling onto for hope. Even though some say Star Wars resurrected the franchise I say, hold on!!! Everyone matters. 

Yes, eager Star Trek fans with Paramount concerns trekking across earth want to be counted too. Don't forget us! Curious sciencefictionist  explorers we are boldly going seeking out new friends on new "civilizations" who love the fundamentalism of Star Trek. 

Lots of us will remember the 90's and well into 2000's when Star Trek engaged the hearts and minds of every living trekker on earth. Mr Spocks respect for science and Uhuras honeyed voice opening up sub-space frequencies -  Last year more than 200,000 tickets sold for New Yorks Comic Con with San Diego seeing 135,000 attendees at its in person convention for the year.

For a while it was beginning to feel like Star Trek ruled the globe. Along came CBS, Netflix streaming, Amazon Prime and Crave TV. Its a widely enjoyed phenomena that Star Trek celebrities united the fans who immediately go to conventions packed with lovable mysterious monsters etc and geek out.

We enjoyed the fun chats, Q and Answers with the stars, high fives, photo shots, autograph signings and news updates.

Today as the covid19 pandemic sweeps across the earth dozens of Star Trek celebs have lined up for Virtual Trek Con.... Trekker to Sci-fi fan its not quite the same is it? 

Nevertheless, the message is clear, stay safe. 

The last Virtual fan convention Variety reported ran from 22-26 was no more exciting than enjoying a nice cup of tea. To answer this question logically, Twitter tweets for Comic-Con@Home have nosedived to 93,681. 

Virtual Star Trek convention have slashed fan numbers by 95% so far (for 2020 ) Where did the live convention fans go? Apparently no-ones tweeting much on Twitter anymore (about pure Star Trek excitement because well...... lets just say the buzz has died) compared to 5 days in 2019. The figures speak for themselves 1,719,000 vs 93,681

So Trekkers, with Star Trek Streaming and Virtual Fan Conventions on the menu this year.... at least we're not having gravy with our ham salad while watching Star Wars on TV.

Captain Picard is great for talking his way out of trouble but in Star Trek's Chain of Command, this is the episode which establishes TNG far beyond a kids TV show. It's rated in the top five of all TNG episodes. Yes, we can always rely on the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D diplomacy, tough talk, and we come in peace boldly going where no-one has gone before... Trouble is when Dr Crusher, Lt Worf and Picard beam down to Celtris 3 on a secret search and destroy mission our three buddies bite off more than they can chew.....

(exactly like the head chef where I work) I guess you might call it a trick of the mind - this type of trickery involved manipulating the captain to reveal his knowledge and thus break his spirit. (oh yes then Madred has a torture device.) "Forgive me, I take no pleasure but I must demonstrate this." (YEAH SURE! )

Star Trek Picard Review - When Dahj Died I cried

Hey Trekkers! Spacerguy here, how does Star Trek Picard stack up against Star Trek Discovery? Youtuber MrBlinket has published an interesting video on Jean Luc Picard epic capers since the sprightly captain got discovered on his Chateau Picard vineyard... Remember the synthetic spacebabe Dahj appeared out of the blue?! definitely worth sending a love letter or two right?

 Meanwhile, Blinket's getting 1,626,518 hits on youtube for publishing Star Trek trash but hes dead right! Trash sells! I'm lucky if i get a few bugs off the Borg dinner table for being all logical and scientific. When Dahj showed up what a lovely surprise, only then she got blown away - melted right before our very own eyes by evil Zhat Drat automatons on the edge. 😁



 Yup I could have cried when Dahj died but that's me. It must have been a shock for all the little kids watching with Mommy and Daddy...but wait hold on now stammer, horrified, gasping trekkers... at least we have user control with Star Trek Picard streaming live on CBS all access and Amazon Prime at our finger tips right?

STAR TREK PICARD - ET IN ARCADIA EGO PART 2

Hi Trekkers, Hold on to your communicators Trekkies, the finale of Picard for season 1 wraps with some powerful if not fascinating messages. Trekkers are debating over the shows continuity at IMDB. Patrick Stewart is looking forward to returning to work.

Speculation exists about Seven of Nine being a Pansexual? Why not says Jeri Ryan. In her defense, I believe her Borg implants are just exploring her sexuality. Good and bad apart it was Data (who saved Picard in TNG Nemesis) wanted to cash in his positronic microchips like a human. 😁 The real terminology is collection of sophisticated neural nets and heuristic algorithms elevating beyond status of robot or machine.

Meanwhile Romulan Narek creeps around the Borg cube and runs into his sister Narissa. I guess justice is served when Seven pushes Narissa down the Borg Cube abyss. Not quite a Darth Vader flinging the Emperor down the reactor shaft moment but still quite satisfying.

 We know Daji was snuffed out by the Dhat Vash terminators leaving her twin to battle it out while Picard follows with the La Sirena crew. So like Soji who wasn't all bad? She came through in the end and acted in time just like Dr. Altan Inigo Soong who must have felt a bit betrayed to ice one of his own treasured artificial lifeforms. At the end Captain Riker turns up to slug it out with the Romulans.

I mean everyone's been so on edge over the existence of higher synthetic beings in the universe. Including Dr Soong. How would Data have reacted to these Federation revelations I wonder?

Try explaining to paranoid Romulans but considering all the action, mythology, androids, Zhat Vash, Borgs on the loose and sneaky Romulan traitors and sexy Alien babes fighting it out, what makes this better is the crashed Borg artefact which Narissa is trying to engage.Some might feel sweet justice is served when Jeri Ryan - Seven of Nine kicks Narissa down the Borg Cube abyss sending her screaming to her death. How did you feel about Narissa's final scene?

It really was touch and go for Picard's starship and Juranti. The alien space orchid motives were clear and the Romulan Fleet orbiting planet Coppelius (aka Ghulion 4)led by Commodore Oh meant one thing - mass paraside for synthetic lifeforms. Episode 10 unites Captain Rikers Federation at an intersection with the deadly Romulans Fleet of Warbirds who see the light when Picards reasoning with Soji succeeded and the rift is sealed, whoo hoo!  Season 1 trekkers.

Peace in our galaxy? At least Picard's and Juranti breathe a sigh of relief and what about civil rights for androids? These Synthetics lifeforms forced disparate characters out into the open to face their greatest fears. Friend or Faux? we should thank the them?

Hi Trekkers, I hope everyone's enjoying Picard's Patrick Stewart trek through the stars so far 'cos like when Captain Rios Santiago Cabrera starship the La Sirena arrives at Soji's Isa Briones homeworld, all is not what it seems. It appears Narek has followed Rios 25 light years in 15 mins, who attacks and spins out of control. Maybe Narek  Harry Treadaway trying to restore his honor being a Zhat Vash washout and all.

25 LIGHT YEARS

Its just like ol times when Picard gives his speech on morality bit and thats when real problems kick in. So here they all are with the orchid space  thing and to liven things up 7of9's Jeri Ryan Borg cube appears ready to kick ass, whoo hoo! except emm nope.... Everyone gets their butts kicked by the Alien ship.

Upon reflection Coppelius is Soji's planet robot world for her android kin. The reality is the Romulans fear that a powerful synthetic civilisation will wipe out all organic life and this might not be just paranoia... and the Synthetics might welcome it.  Anyway Rios ship and the cube plunge to the planet. Finally an older, "eccentric Data"  Dr. Altan Inigo Soong Brent Spiner appears with his team of androids.

STAR TREK PICARD - BROKEN PIECES

Hi trekkers. In Star Trek Picard's "broken pieces" we witness a rare Romulan ceremony designed to probe minds with the stark Truth of the Zhat Vash. Be warned emotions do run sky high here. So like watching ten lovely babes go crazy, isn't everyone's idea of high fiving around the Mutara Nebula. (If you catch my drift.) Picards got the best line though "Fear is the destroyer!"  AIA" the planet where all the boogie man stuff  happens is in a system with these mysterious eight stars! To be honest trekkers, there is a depth on IMDB with mixed emotional outbursts about this episode.

ZHAT VASH CEREMONY

You either love this place or hate it. Anyway at the start we're given some interesting clues. Commodore Oh's chanting puts her chosen subjects through some fairly twisted mind destroying Zhat Vash paces.



 The ladies grab their heads as their minds warp horrified by the truth reaching them at lightspeed. Only two are strong enough to survive the test, Narissa and Auntie.The rest go stark raving mad clearly unable to face reality.... but why I hear you cry? why oh why? The fact is they've learned the truth of the Zhat Vash!!!! and the warning left by the ancients!!

AUNTIE AND NARISSA SURVIVE

So like nowhere in sight is there the magnificent USS Enterprise-NCC 1701-D rushing to save these tortured souls either. Those days are over my friends, gone, forget about it.... still I am broken up about the ship.... let no-one ever forget the name Enterprise...(Who said that?) Yet Patrick Stewart has said the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D is not happening again!

but Kudos to Picard!!!! He's still able to pull a few strings with Starfleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy. So he gets a squadron of ships...Meanwhile, Commodore Oh's mission to create Zhat Vash assassins to seek out and destroy something really bad, kinda like didn't work. so what could be worse?

This epic tale informs us......unless all A.I. die, something bad news is coming to dinner. This explains why synths and deceased android friend Mr Data ( - have become public enemy No1 in ST Picard....No-one wanted Dr Bruce Maddox either(assassinated Cyberneticist) around so he got snuffed out by smiling cheerful lovely Juranti.

  So take a good look trekkers, in all her Zhat Vash glory. I mean, look at the way Oh's dressed, hooded and chanting mystic Zhat Vash rhetoric. Impressive isn't she? Closer examination at the barren planet reveals a "warning" left behind by the ancient civilization. What happened to them gawd knows, oh yeah the baddies.....coming to dinner.

Don't underestimate Oh. Her chanting, tells us that something big and scary is out there in space. Once the A.I. line of demarcation has been crossed, something with an extremely bad attitude is waiting on the other side. What could that be?

STAR TREK PICARD: SEASON 1 EPISODE 7, NEPENTHE

Hi Trekkers Spacerguy here,  I've been away on shoreleave  but as Susan commented its time to catch up. unfortunately my transporter malfunctioned and I got waylayed by a Romulan agent but I've managed to escape and here I am. 😐

Star Trek Picard, In the 7th episode Nepenthe, our trusty captain Picard and Soji safely transport to the planet Nepenthe with no mishaps getting away from the Borg Artefact. (I'm trying not to get emotional but) It must be testing beaming across the galaxy 40,000 light years using spatial trajector Borg technology.

We know our friends escaped the evil clutches of Narissa who was Nareks scheming Romulan sister. These two were a cunning team plotting sneakily and quietly aboard the Cube. Looking back we can enjoy how much it meant to Picard to have escaped safely now back with some old and trusted friends, Troi, Riker and daughter Kestra which they're writing about on the New York Times! 😁

Soji on the other hand isn't so sure. its not like she can rely on her "gut" instincts right? After all she has no reason to believe anything is real cos like shes been programmed, "activated" and learns, oh well I'm an android or synthetic? So do lets be honest trekkers how would you feel discovering such feelings and being only a couple years old?

As the rest of La Sirena's crew attempt to join them, Picard helps Soji make sense of her recently unlocked memories. Its a rough trek but heck burdens of comand, 😐  Meanwhile, Hugh and Elnor are left on the Borg cube and must face Narissa who no angel, so lets take a closer look at her.

She seemed logical right until we saw her mindmeld Juranti and bug her. Now we know why Juranti turned killer. I figure beside being a Romulan spy for the grim Zhat Vash, Commodore O is a dark General Sorceress but lets not forget Narissa.

While Picard is playing happy families on planet Nepenthe ask yourself:

THE CONCLAVE OF EIGHT WAS DESIGNED TO ATTACK MARS AND INFLUENCE FEDERATION DECISIONS, SEVERELY BANNING SYNTHETIC LIFEFORMS from existing in the federation but why?





A.Whats Commodore Oh's next move? Whats Riker's Picard's and Soji's? Wheres Seven?
B.Narek is working under Narissa's orders given to her by STARFLEETS DIRECTOR OF SECURITY COMMODORE OH, who's a spy TREKKERS!!!! A cursed Spy, a mole, a dog, a mut, a national federation disaster because WHY? She a Tal Shiar General!!!
C.Commodore Oh plan was to obtain information from Dahj on Biological androids now TURNING TO NARISSA THE PLAN FOCUSES ON SOJI. NAREK TO GET THE REQUIRED INFORMATION.
D.Once Starfleet gains the power to trace and track biological androids thus eliminating them and  curtailing civil liberties within the galaxy, will they want to relinquish this power?
