Star Trek Into Darkness Condition Green

J.J. Abrams said recently Star Trek Into Darkness begins with a group of people [USS Enterprise crew] being tested in a way they have never been tested before.

Away missions are risky business. Vulcan's are experts in logic, well equipped to purge themselves of all human emotions or so you would think. These guys are the smart ones. Humans on the other hand are prone to emotional impulses which is why we screw up so much. But how logical is it to descend into a scalding hot volcano in a bionic suit? Remember, Mr Spock in particular followed the teachings and philosophies of Surak:

Logic and Emotional Control. His cunning ancestors were an extremely violent race of people who waged almost constant warfare against each other. Technological leaps in Vulcanian society pushed the species to near extinction which now ironically, thanks to J.J. Abrams new movie timeline, is now scattered across the galaxy. Now, I'm not getting all logical on you but shouldn't Dr McCoy be cutting in, complaining right about now?

'Wheres the D*M logic in lowering yourself into a violently active volcano, Spock? Good God man, have you lost your vulcan mind?'

Star Trek Into Darkness will likely appeal to naughty young minds exploring new frontiers, so its neat Uhura(played by Zoe Saldana) and Spock are all wrapped up in each other. Uhura pecks her vulchie and Spock's all set for his volcano gig. Freeze the volcano and rescue the Nibiru creature inside without being detected or blowing the prime directive. Sounds simple doesn't it?

All helmsman Sulu had to do was flick a few switches controlling the shuttlecrafts descent and altitude above the lava flow. Spock's dangling off a cable and then Sulu (played by John Cho) goofs up big style by losing his nerve. Can you believe it? Spock should have fallen to his death, leaving behind a fazed Sulu aboard the shuttle trying to figure out what went wrong. Heck yeah, it had to be the intense heat blitzing the shuttles impulse engines didn't it? We knew that!!!

Maybe this is where Pavel Chekov should chime in with, 'I can do zat!'

Star Trek Into Darkness Teaser Facts

Today Trek is boldly going into the depts of darkness. Its different and dare I say, exciting. The new Star Trek Into Darkness teaser has an awesome minute less than its predecessor, now beaming into theaters all over the nation. The amazing USS Enterprise NCC 1701 was hiding apparently, submerged on the planet Nibiru, under water no less, so boldly NOT exploring anything. Instead she sits there, we're talking DEEP, UNDERCOVER and get this... the reason? is to preserve Nibiru's natural development by upholding the Prime Directive!!!

So I'm reserving judgement until Trek's Into Darkness premieres on May 17th 2013. I have to admit, being just a wee trek fanboy, Star Trek's new teaser trailer has raised allot of questions in my mind over the weekend.

QUESTIONS

1. Whos owns the mystery hands separated by the glass?
2. Cryogenic frozen pods smacks of a Kahn connection. Is there some poor unfortunate inside these things?
3. What is the Nibiru volcanic creatures purpose? Could it be the same as the whales in Star Trek IV, the Voyage Home?
4. Why did Kirk zap the squeaking biped creature? Maybe it just wanted to snack!
5. A starship takes a nosedive into water like something out of thunderbirds and I'm wondering, Has Kirk hijacked the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 again to go on a heroic rescue spree?

6. Why is Chekov wearing a Red Shirt. Will he say, 'I can do zat!?'
7. Its official Benedict Cumberbatch is John Harrison but why is he locked up in brig confinement?
8. Klingons are the tip of the spear! Whats their involvement and with whom?
9. Will the starship under water last long enough or end up like the most forgotten car in Earth's history and rust to death? Is this the USS Enterprise, Kirk and Bones take cover aboard, because it looks like the titanium hull has all the integrity and strength of a piece of plasticine. Poor Scotty!
10. Is Spock going to say goodnight from inside a firey volcano?
11. Did you find Uhuras and Spock's farewell kiss touching? Will Uhura save her vulchie or let him fry?
12. Has the volcanic creature got special powers?

A wonderful mix of trekkers and Hobbit fans packed into the audience dying to see Bilbo Baggins, Smaug and the tunnel creature Gollum on Friday. What wonderful sorcerery, shapeshifting, and wizardry I thought and all with, Goblin and Orc fans surrounding me. Weird. Awesome. I'm a trekkie, d-m it! I shouldn't be feeling this way. LOL. The accents were easy enough to follow but I really beamed in for IMAX for one reason only. To catch the latest scoop on Star Trek Into Darkness.

Trekmovie, I09 and Screenrant do a brilliant job dishing the latest trek spoilers for every sci fi fan who lives, sleeps and eats over Star Trek on planet earth. So why should they have all the fun?

J.J. Abrams is directing Star Trek Into Darkness off a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof and Roberto Orci. Starring Chris Pine, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Simon Pegg.
Star Trek Into Darkness hits cinemas in (regular and IMAX 3D) on May 17th, 2013.

What did you like about Star Trek's teasers over the weekend? Who is your favorite Star Trek Into Darkness character? Do you think the hands 'farewell' will make you cry?

Abrams Trek Into Darkness With Fan

Star Trek director J.J. Abrams had a fireside chat with a fellow movie/trek fan during the week. I must say it was exciting to see him hanging out with a fellow trekker. Abrams revealed Star Trek Into Darkness is clearly for movie fans, telling us theres plenty of stuff in the movie for trek fans to enjoy also, expounding on extra tid bits about the villain. Heres the entire transcript.

Trekker: The shock that we've seen in the Japanese trailer and we've seen in the foreword trailer of two hands separated by glass, of course for any trek fan that feels like Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan and you have to know that, you're a smart man.

Abrams: Of course, but heres the thing, (pause) This movie you know was not made for Star Trek fans, it was made for movie fans but if you're a Star Trek fan, I think you'll be really happy, theres allot of stuff in here for you. (WOO HOO! I'm SOOOO EXCITED,) umm but we couldn't just make the movie only for fans of Star Trek. The thing about the movie that I love also is we didn't even make it for fans of the first film we did. You know allot of sequels I've seen, eh tend to assume you love the characters and know them really well and you know get off being in the movie, sort of to a fast start where you don't have any sense of investing in the character from the beginning. So we try and treat this as a movie that works on its own, certainly its a sequel, certainly if you saw the first movie great, you don't have to seen the first film. So this movie is kinda its own thing but there are definitely nods to prior trek lore in the film.

Trekker: Benedict's character which obviously you know has been subject to much umm speculation... Abrams: ehem (in agreement) Trekker: ...his name is John Harrison. Harrison is the name of the character on 'Space Seed' (Star Trek's classic series) and is that something I'm reading way too much into or is that coincidence?

Abrams: sighs in amusement: God you're such a geek
.
Trekker: grins and chuckles, I went to Star Trek conventions don't act surprised...

Abrams: I love it. Ehhh rather than.. you know, answer anything that would sort of give away the fun of the movie, I would say the character Benedict plays, eh, you know, he he brings, I mean, such an incredible like power. His voice alone is unbelievable eh, you know. I actually just as a joke should have had him read the lunch menu.

Trekker laughs and jests, That could have been the first teaser.

Abrams: I'm telling you it would have been like egg salad sandwich. He makes anything sound great. eh, he brings such a force to it that, eh, I think when you see the movie, hopefully this character, all speculation aside, will be really compelling not because of any connection to anything you know...past but because of kind of who he is and what he thinks of.

Trekker: Is his character (Benedict) shrouded in mystery in the film or are his motivations and back stories part of a plot or do we know who he is from the get go?

Abrams: No no no, the whole thing, not just his back story but his agenda, his plan, his secret, all of that is what I think, for me at least, makes him such a frightening and cool villain... but also, the real villains, when they're not just 2d, you know, angry vengeful types, eh, don't see themselves as the bad guy. They are the good guy and have complete rationale and motivation. So I think true to form, the character you know, that Benedict plays, you know has an absolute sense of right and wrong, and he's on the right side.'

Is it possible Star Trek's Into Darkness villain is a Gary Seven character? (read last bit) hehe.
Do you think Abrams is the master puppeteer?

Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer

Trek vibes over at Trekmovie points to a Khan/Gary Mitchell toss up bringing war to the streets of earth. We also get shots of a ship rising up out of the ocean which fits with Cumberbatch detonating the fleet. Cumberbatch's character is definitely on a thrill to kill but why tell Kirk and crew 'I have returned' except to terrorize.

If this is Gary Mitchell where are his glowing eyes? The gun signifies a hateful thing and yet if you carry one, you'll come out top trump in arguments. Remember how Kirk got his own way in Star Trek 2009. 'I got your gun.'  Guns give you an immense sense of power and power is an aphrodisiac.

This may well be an instrument of satan but it is unbelievably sexy. Its interesting to see guns in Star Trek Into Darkness. Star Trek's philosophy used to be fundamentally good filled with optimistic explorers who should never submit to 'god' greed or dogma, reason is supposed to be better than violence but is it more exciting to watch?

When I look at this trailer its easy to see why the gun and violence is changing the course of Star Trek history in a truly appalling way and yet its what we want. Isn't it?

Star Trek Into Darkness Official Poster

I've been over to Trekmovie to catch the latest scoop on Star Trek Into Darkness and we're still clueless about Star Trek's villain. Trek fans say the guy standing on the pile of ashes looking out towards the ruined city could be Gary Mitchel or Garth of Izar but definitely not Khan! Hey what if the bad guy's Finnegan or Trelane or Gary Seven? So what have we got then?

We've got Star Trek's Into Darkness title leading the way into darker territory. A synopsis from last week, a sweet release of Paramount's official poster depicting a war torn world with a rather unstarfleet caped dude searching for something apparently.

Theres little doubt that this is a cool poster. With Star Trek Into darkness trekkers are bracing themselves for the unexpected and outrageous with J.J. Abrams directing. What will raise the stakes and make the drama more intense?

Star Trek Into Darkness Posters

Pehaps we'll see a high speed chase with plenty of explosive action. We'll need something to stir up emotions in the crew so it wouldn't be Abrams without a few more planets imploding and scotty yelling, 'but Captain I'm giving it all shes got!' LOL.

There'll be the usual hanky panky, The best in USS Enterprise crew hand to hand combat, a crew hot on the tracks of one scarey, destructive, explosive villain who leaves nothing but assassination and carnage behind. It'll be the best hour of sci-fi fun you've ever had! At least thats what fans are secretly hoping for.

Now everyone knows space is a dangerous place and when you give chase after a villain you might just die horribly but.. It takes a special kind of nutter to go out into space and have a crack on purpose. Of course I'm talking about Captain James Kirk. Do you think Benedict Cumberbatch has got what it takes to make Nero look like Mr nice guy?

Star Trek Into Darkness Facts

Finally some official Star Trek Into Darkness tid bits released by Paramount on the 27th November is here.... At long last!

In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness.

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew
.

On the Trek front, Chis Pine can't wait for Star Trek Into The Darkness to be released. Hes excited for folks to see the movie. Its got a great villain from within with a bigger plot than the last one. The sequel's villain played by Benedict Cumberbatch (likely Gary Mitchel wreaking havoc upon earth) is pitted against the new USS Enterprise crew.

We know all the major actors of Star Trek 2009: Bruce Greenwood, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoë Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, John Cho and Simon Pegg are returning. I suspect Leonard Nimoy will appear too. Cumberbatch is the threat leading them into a trap to 'a war zone world,' terrific conflicts and ripping explosions in the vast unexplored depts of the galaxy.

Chris Pine said that "I'd say the threat is even greater in this one. The force [the enterprise crew] are met with is much more frightening."

Trekmovie reports that the first 9 minute preview of Star Trek Into Darkness will also be kicking off with Peter Jackson's IMAX 3D screening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey due out on December 14th. So allot of our suspicions will likely be confirmed in two weeks. Trekkers will also be able to see the traditional 2D version, (available at NON-IMAX screenings) ahead of the Hobbit's (Dec 14th) premier and additional films the following weekend. So we've got a choice. 9 mins preview in 3D or Trek's 2D trailer. Are you excited enough to go to both? Are you all in for the Hobbit to catch the latest on Trek's Into Darkness?. How about it? Is Spock going to die? Guess Long and Prosper, trekkers and trekkies

Star Trek Into Darkness Newsflash

Paramount Pictures announced recently that J.J. Abram's Star Trek Into Darkness is currently underway adding the principal photography touches to the new movie apparently. This little piece of trek news sparked my tricorder into life! Why I hear you ask? Look closely at the characters in this picture. Whose humanoid 'features' strikes you as being preserved for the big occasion on May 17th 2013?

This photo captures a cool stitch in time which is why its so fun looking at them, hehe. Returning to their USS Enterprise post's are John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, and Anton Yelchin. They are joined by new cast members Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. Trekkie instincts tell me Leonard Nimoy is along for trek's sequel with the give away in this photo.

I suppose its probably still a little too early to guess with absolute certainty but.... anyone? what do you think?

Chris Pine, who is currently in New York City filming with Kevin Costner, shared details on Star Trek's Into Darkness sequel. He avoided specifics but gave us a flavour on what direction our Enterprise heroes are going, pitched with an exciting overall tone outlining Star Trek Into Darkness.

"There’s comedy, which I think J.J. does a great job of, but, like the first one, there’s some serious issues being dealt with. And I’d say the threat is even greater in this one. The force (the Enterprise crew) are met with is much more frightening.

It’s relentlessly action-packed and in terms of character development it goes places you’d never expect. The ARC is huge FOR ALL THE CHARACTERS. It’s a really big story – I can’t hype it enough!" Thanks Chris, now for the hype! Looking at Alice Eve, one character really springs to mind! "I'm a healthy amount of time in the makeup chair — though not as long as Spock," Eve revealed. "We were filming until very late last night, and I know that's all I can say. It's a top-secret operation, it's like a war." Star Trek Into Darkness has wrapped up tight doing even Top Secret CIA operators proud until its theatrical release on May 17th, 2013.

Can you guess who Alice Eve will be playing?

Star Trek Into Darkness

Trekmovie sources have just confirmed the title for J.J. Abrams Star Trek 2013 sequel movie. They're calling it 'Star Trek Into Darkness,' so now the word is given with Paramount's blessing, apparently. Star Trek is crossing over into the DARK SIDE!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? YESSSS! We've been waiting for this all our lives, right? It couldn't have been easy for the Team Abrams but I reckon its sounds pretty frackin' awesome and conspiratorial too. How cool is this, I mean really? Imagine a mirror, mirror verse Spock wreaking havoc on the Enterprise's young guns! And who's playing angry Spock, Leonard Nimoy, right? Okay so theres gaps in my theory which maybe you can fill in but hey it'll be worth the wait.

Unlike the Dark Knight, Superman and Spiderman theres really no straight forward superhero for Star Trek to cape up and save the universe. Hence the mysterious title which sounds very cloak and daggery and classified too which is great but the suspense is the real killer. I suspect we're not going to get the whole enchilada until the USS Enterprise hits the cinema theaters on May 17th 2013. So why did Paramount and Team Abrams choose 'Star Trek Into Darkness' for the title? Secrecy of course but you knew that!

I'm guessing Star Trek's villain could be DEEP UNDERCOVER, a saboteur on a highly classified Top Secret mission sent by the Mirror-verse Empire. Perhaps this is where time travelling secret agent Gary Seven makes his rescue bid, saving the Enterprise, foiling with Evil Spock in a desperate attempt to restore the timeline before the villainous Empire defeats the friendly Federation! So far, so good but who knows? Sevens secretary played by Alice Eve? mesmerises Evil Spock by turning into a sexy feline cat giving Gary Seven enough time to zap pointy ears, hehe.

Feverish Speculation over whos really playing Star Trek's darkside villain is truly testing trek fans ever since Karl Urban told us trek's villain was going to be Gary Mitchel, LOL and now we're even more clueless, since Abram's sleigh ride began, LOL.

Who do you think is Star Trek's Into Darkness villain?

Heres a list to help confuse you even more, LOL but do go on, have a go! Its all for a good cause.

Star Trek's 2013 movie sequel

Recently Robert Orci confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch isn't playing Gary Mitchell in Star Trek's 2013 movie sequel. In his interview with Trekmovie Robert Orci brings us up to warpspeed. For now Star Trek's writers are trying their best not to talk about who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing. You have to hand it to them. This kind of movie chicanery builds more intense trek suspense.

In his exclusive interview he reveals some spoilers about Star Trek 2013 new characters cleverly diverting us away from Karl Urban's villainous statement. Heres what we know.

1. We can expect our first sequel trailer to be rolled out in the fall.
2. Trek's writers are down to final names for the movie.
3. Alice Eve is playing a Canon Character.
4. Noel Clarke and Nanzeen Contractor are New Characters.
5. Peter Weller and Joseph Gatt are New Characters too.
6. and the Biggie...Benedict Cumberbatch is playing a Canon Character!
7. The identity of Star Trek's villain is still Top Secret.
8. We do know Alice Eve and Cumberbatch will be playing unique characters from Star Trek the original series!
9. Some have said over at the studio that Star Trek's sequel is better than the prequel.
10. Gary Mitchell isn't a runner but what about Khan?
11. ILM are adding the special effects right now.
12. Team Abrams are trying to preserve the movie experience by keeping it under wraps for as long as possible!
13. We will see James T. Kirk calling the shots from the USS Enterprise captain's chair.
14. Star Trek 2013 will be shot in 3D format.

ScienceFiction.com suspect 'Karl Urban of having punked fans. So there you have it trekinators. In the good spirit of star trek we got punk'd, good, hehe.

Theorize long and prosper, trekinators.

Star Trek 2's latest villain?

Photobucket

Star Trek's latest Enterprising sequel is definitely steeped in a cloak of mystery except now the shields are weakening! I never thought I'd hear myself say, Yesss! Great, Shields Weakening!!! But its true! Earlier this year Star Trek Sci Fi Blog dished the trek about whos gunning the good guys in Star Trek 2's sequel, except we were wrong.

So whos the bad guy? We hear you ask.

FACT: Fans know Star Trek 2's sequel wrapped up filming by June 2012. Star Trek 2 is set to hit cinemas in May 2013.

At Trekmovie Lieutenant Alex Kurtzman stuck to his phasers backing secretive Trek Bosses, whose production plans DIDN'T include spilling the beans about Star Trek or about the movies latest Villain.

FACT: So we've been told little until now...

Set your phasers on silver eyed esper with delusions of Godhood. hehe!

FACT: Apparently, a little birdie resurrected Gary Mitchel!

But who did this and why?

FACT: Speculation is running rife on the internet about why Karl Urban who plays our cranky Dr McCoy dropped his hypo. Rumor has it, Bones kinda blabbed about Star Trek 2's big bad wolf at SFX.

In June Kurtzman stated at Trek Movie 'theres going to be NO Star Trek for San Diego's Comic Con' in July. Something tells me trek's bosses will be sending out damage control parties to Comic Con? The good doctor has given us enough cordrazine high to last us well into 2013.

Urban's slipup at SFX was probably unintentional despite complimenting Cumberbatch, it doesn't take a trekkie to figure out who's going to take on the crew of Star Trek's USS Enterprise NCC 1701.

"He's awesome, he's a great addition, and I think his Gary Mitchell is going to be exemplary."

I can scarcely believe this news is on the web.

Star Trek 2 Sequel Clues and Movie Shots

Trekmovie has 2 beautiful location shots up on their website with Uhura, Spock and Benedict in action movie scenes! If you're saving yourself for 'Star Trek 2' 2013 then RED ALERT. The following contains SPOILERS.

JJ Abram's second trek sequel is currently shooting on location in Los Angles. So whats new? The first image shows Zachary Quinto aka Mr Spock and Benedict Cumberbatch (mysterious villain) at odds battling it out. In this shot the sneaky vulcan's Neck Pinch puts Cumberbatch on his knees begging for mercy. LOL. Perhaps Spock is getting even for losing one of his logical arguments?

Who do you think is going to win?

In the second shot Uhura holds Cumberbatch at gunpoint with a phaser pointing at his head. Curiously Cumberbatch's got no points on his ears which rules out the Romulan and Vulcan angle.

The Enterprise's Communications Officer hangs tough with this baddie which buys Spock some time at least to complete his secret mission? The question is whats 'Cumberbatch' hiding that affects Uhura and Spock so badly? or the fate of the Federation? Apparently Uhura and Spock are on a 'Space Barge Set' so maybe the duo will call in for some Enterprise Redshirt reinforcements.

Quote and Images courtesy of Trekmovie. Thanks Trekmovie!

Its great seeing Uhura getting in on the action and kicking some villainous butt but has she got the nerves to blow 'Benedict' away?

'I can maybe tell you what I’d like to see happen in Star Trek…for Spock and Uhura to really hook up – for Uhura to get to do whatever physical activities, kick some butt, some Romulan butt.'

Abrams Star Trek 2 Newsflash

Star Trek 2 Newsflash.

Get ready to satisfy your trek desires, Trekkies, with Mr Abrams in the driving seat calling the shots for Star Trek 2 (2013). In his interview update to TrekMovie, Bad Robot director, JJ Abram's lieutenants are clearly warping ahead with the cosmic art of filming Star Trek 2, boldly going to strange (less) new worlds. Apparently the USS Enterprise fledglings have all enlisted and are all set to sail around the galaxy, minus a few Federation planets and TOS crew on May 17, 2013.

I think its a real tragedy Romulus and Vulcan are space dust. In the old days trekkies used to love nitpicking Star Trek's epic story lines to death because trek lifeforms have no fear in boldly exploring the cosmic bounties within our trek universe. Its what we were born to do. Its great seeing our heroes slugging it out with alien aggressors because deep down we admire their gut instincts, courage and integrity to challenge adversity in all shapes and forms.

Fearless warrior Klingons can always be relied upon to spice up the Federations ageing constitution with bat'leth combat, space fights and dramatic deaths. The trouble is Praxis is now running out of air, so time is running out. I hope this hasn't consigned our Klingon friends to the destitute aliens rubbish heap. I feel I must protest at this critical hour and defend Star Trek's good old days. Its a totally rubbish deal Klingons, Vulcans and Romulans have got in Star Trek 2009 and Star Trek VI. But it could be worse... I guess.

Klingons could be part of a completely byegone era too. I figure Mr Abrams has a chance to redeem himself. Make the Klingons the tip of the spear again, yeah. Who else does what they do? Infuse Klingon culture with hardcore diehards ready to leap into the firey abyss of battle. Mr Spocks duel in Amok Time is a perfect battle scene in point. Why not feature some interesting Klingon battle/character moments amidst a wonderful backdrop of Klingon scenery in Star Trek's continuum?

Do you want to see Klingons in Star Trek 2013?

Abrams writers like blowing up the natives on their soverign home worlds. The GOOD news is Director JJ will be shooting Star Trek 2 (THE SEQUEL) in 2D using an IMAX filming format so he can convert the film presumably to 3D! which sounds promising because it gives directors and viewers a much larger field of vision enhancing the movie cinema experience when viewed in 3D.

Director J.J. Abrams is the preferred choice with a proven track record. (until his luck changes like Rick Bermans) in 2002 with Nemesis receiving a poor turnout at the cinemas. According to Boxoffice Mojo Star Trek 2009 scooped $385,680,446. million worldwide for Paramount's studio executives. Not bad considering treks previous incarnation failed to achieve warp speed with only $43,254,409 to renergize Captain Picard's Galaxy class flagship. The good news is Director Abrams has hopefully learned from Star Trek 2009 mistakes

According to Abrams on TrekMovie 'It’s a little early to be talking about ‘Star Trek,’ but I will say that they wrote — the three writers, Damon [Lindelof], Bob [Orci] and Alex [Kurtzman] — they wrote the most amazing script, and I’m thrilled to get a chance to direct it. It’s totally mine to screw up, so if you don’t like it, it’s completely on me. Our sets are almost done, so we’re going to go back and start shooting next month.'

Images Owner/Creator: Paramount Pictures and or CBS Studios.

Now immerse yourself with the celestial fact that Star Trek 2009 (the prequel) is probably the most compelling, action packed, most successful, and most expensive trek movie the world has ever seen, which is no small feat. Its true Gene Roddenberry's peaceful, dynamic, Universe was revamped with a new crew at the helm of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701. Star Trek 2009 is now set ten years prior to the original series and everything we know and love is not guaranteed to happen the same way again. Young Spock booting cadet Kirk out the airlock was highly unusual and Kirk's promotion to captain later on? Still at least Uhura's undressing made a lasting impression but then Kirk's heavy breathing has to go and spoil the fun, LOL. I thought Kirk had a pretty good hiding place and view from where Galia had stashed him away.

Lt. Nyota Uhura: Gaila, who is he?
Gaila: Who?
Lt. Nyota Uhura: The mouth-breather hiding under your bed?
James T. Kirk: You can hear me breathing?

Merry Christmas, trekkies and trekkers.

Time travel concepts

In H.G. Wells Time Machine, the time traveller shares his wondrous and terrifying voyages which interprets the nature of time in worlds the traveller visits. He projects himself far into a future where man has evolved into two distinct species rooted in time proving that the space time continuum is fixed and can't be changed. Looking at this phenomenon, time travel can be achieved in so many different ways.

1. The Time Machine was introduced in 1895.
2. The Guardian of Forever was a sentient arch pulsating with power that created a new beginning for entire civilisations just by stepping through its time portal.
3. A slingshot around the sun did the trick in Star Trek IV.
4. Suspended animation is another way for the time traveller to visit the future. He awakens from his deep freeze cryogenic sleep and experiences the culture shock.
5. Back to the Future features Marty McFy going back through time in his beefed up DeLorean time-machine in 1985.

What is your favorite time travel theory? H.G. Wells Time Machine, where the constant flow of history is fixed in time or Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek universe where time travel can radically alter the evolution of the timeline?
