Where did Star Trek land on Christmas day?

 Hi Trekkers,

Spacerguy Here, First of all let me wish you all a Happy and Joyous Christmas as we usher in 2023. Today, I chatted with Public Servants and Ceo Derek at the NRH where I trek out for a living. In the 23rd and 24th Century Star Trek's interstellar Goddesses have laid claim to their cultural places with memorable kisses in history boldly spellbinding minds where no-one had gone before.

We all love a bit of meriment and charm to captivate us accross the cosmos. So all in all now the spirit of festive celebration is upon us, ask yourself: Where did Star Trek land on Christmas day?

In Star Trek The Classic episode "Dagger of the Mind" Captain Kirk beams down with Dr Helen "Noel" (Marianna Hill) to Tantalus Penal Colony to conduct a scientific examination.

When Dr Helen reminds him, (lol) "do you remember the Science Lab Christmas Party? " -

Kirk "Yes I remember"

Curiously Dr Noel surname comes from the French word for Christmas and its used in song for Christmas carols.

I reckon the movie Star Trek Generations spreads a powerful Christmas Trekker reference of peace, hope and family values. However, Picard is transported to a "Nexus" and experiences a fantasy version of Christmas complete with a picture perfect home and family he never had in reality aboard the starship USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D or had growing up at home at the vineyard in France.

Where did Star Trek land on Christmas day?

1.  Dr Helen Noel

2.  The Nexus

3.  Trekker and Trekkie touch down!

Vote now and make your voice heard,

Where did Star Trek land on Christmas day?

William Shatner Friend and Defender of Earth Boldly goes where no Blue Orgin has gone Before

Merry Christmas Trekkers and to usher in 2022 heres some Bezos and Shatner Blue Origin fanfare with their rocket shooting off into space. You'll remember the legendary captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise 1701 from Star Trek the Classic Series? Well here he is....

These are our friends, our defenders and our protectors of the United Federation of Earth. Well, good as - apparently William Shatner has gone up into Space big time Trekkers for real, (only Joan Collins is not in agreement! )😁 one to beam up Scotty!

Without hope what have we got?  I'm going up into Space, How many people can say that? Jeff Bezos Concept to make living and pollution a thing of the past.

“I’m so filled with emotion about what just happened,” the screen legend said. “It’s extraordinary. I hope I never recover from this. I hope I can maintain what I feel now.”

What do you think? Are you for or against Space exploration?

Merry Christmas Trekkers!

Star Trek Fizzbin

F is for Fizzbin so what gives? You've heard of this classic Star Trek game I'm sure - cos like everyone wants "A Piece of the Action" right? A real game that requires intelligence, not some kids game!  Captain James T. Kirk made up the perplexing game of Fizzbin to fluster his captors on Sigma Lotia II. Heres how the cards square up.

Players are dealt six cards, except the player on the dealers right, who gets seven. The second card is turned up, except on Tuesdays, and two jacks make half a fizzbin. Don't bother trying to get a royal fizzbin as the odds are astronomical. Feel like playing?

E is for Enslaved

E is for Enslaved by Elasian tears but could the myth be true? You might be surprised if a beautiful princess cried over you!!! Legend has it the biochemical compound of the tears of Elasian women overwhelms their victims who become romantically and emotionally obsessed with the woman as happened Captain Kirk in Star Trek's Elaan of Troyius. Its true believe me. How do you break free of the spell using the Dohlman of Elas infectious agent which acts as a aphrodisiac? Hey did you happen to see the most beautiful girl in the world?

TO BOLDLY GO WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE

In the Trek universe, 21st century scientist Zefram Cochrane invented the faster than warp drive rocket in 2061 which shot Geordi, Riker and Zefram into the trekkie universe. So when Cochrane officially opened the warp five complex on earth in 2119, he coins the phrase 'where no man has gone before.' Now growing up I was happy believing in the power of these sacred holy Star Trek words because Captain James T. Kirk's of the starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 said them. (TOS) was sacred hallowed ground.

I guess our Star Trek heros are just keeping the trek dream alive but I must confess these words sent a little chill of excitement down my spine every time trek is boldly going on tv, the good ol days huh? It certainly begs the question. If Captain Kirk wasn't the first then.....

Who was the first space explorer to say 'Where no man has gone before?'

Zefram Cochrane
Captain Kirk
Johnathan Archer
Captain Picard

Decide now trekkers the fate of the universe depends upon it.

WHY V'GER CHOSE ILIA - STAR TREK TMP

Jerry Goldsmith wrote the music soundtrack for Star Trek the Motion Picture which later became the fanfare for Star Trek TNG. 1995 was the year I bought all 178 episodes of Star Trek TNG. Each season was 106 euro which wasn't cheap for me. Today you can buy a used Star Trek TNG Season 1 for £6.49 can you believe that?

DECKER TRYING TO REVIVE ILIAS "data memory patterns"
by placing the headband on her head but why? - When Decker begins to fall for the exact replica of "Ilia" standing before him Dr McCoy speaks up.
THIS IS JUST A MECHANISM!

I got my "I AM Spock" signed biography from leonard Nimoy that year - yeah I thought things were looking good. I was only 25 ready to explore galaxies. I remember watching Star Treks first movie with friends who loved the special effects, "star trek is cool" overall TMP is a good flick - you'll appreciate the plot is drawn from the slow moving coldness of Space Odyssey and Star Trek Changeling "Nomad" whose primary mission was to scientifically investigate new life forms.

UHURA
"I LIKE TO SING, I FELT LIKE MUSIC"
NOMAD INVESTIGATING

Conversely V'ger programming is also at the heart of TMP plot. Its awesome watching lovely android Ilia makes her grand entrance to save the universe with Decker licking his wounds as the failed rightful Captain of the starship USS Enterprise NCC 1701. Meanwhile Spocks spacewalk mindmeld reveals.....

SPOCKS SECRET SPACEWALK

" Jim, Vgers programming is incomplete. Vger is cold, barren. This simple feeling - not possible.""Vger's asking questions, is this all that I am, is there nothing more?" - Spock

The poor machine was longing for human company all along.......

WHO do you think WON the JACKPOT in Star Trek The Motion Picture?

1. Decker gets Ilia

2. Captain Kirk gets the Enterprise

3. V'ger gets Emotions

STEVE SCHNIER - USS ENTERPRISE IN SPACE

Hi Trekkers Spacerguy here. Steve Schnier stopped by not too long ago who I totally believe has earned his place in Star Trek and Sci-Fi history. I figured his Enterprise capers might cheer lots of us up so enjoy the fun. 55 years on, Earth still hasn't built a real starship USS Enterprise NCC 1701 to boldly explore and chart the galactic regions of outer space, shocking isn't it?  but have I news for you... 😁

No Enterprise and its a real tragic reality, lol... except that is until now. Imagine my surprise what Steve and his wife did in 2013. Their "Enterprise" launch in Canada and filmed on youtube for posterity is magnificent! Not to be missed, we see the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 stellar ascend into the skies as the starship navigates easily soaring on her maiden flight with little turbulence thanks to Scotty in the engine room.

The good news is readings indicate that the ship may have reached or crossed the 100KM boundary Kármán line which is so cool.

In hindsight I realise now "The U.S.S. Enterprise in Space" is such a sweet moment in Star Trek history and I was a tad tardy reporting this fascinating news, so I beg forgiveness readers. Picard would say it was "the burdens of command" (hangs head down in shame.) 😑but the show must go on! 😁

Star Trek is always exploring the outer limits which began aboard Captain James T Kirk's classic USS Enterprise NCC 1701 in 1966 (prequels and sequels aside) but this is for real!. Anyway, all joking aside heres what Steve said on Wednesday, May 08, 2013

Hello! Nice blog by the way.

My name is Steve Schnier. Just a note to let you know that my wife and I sent a model of STAR TREK’s U.S.S. Enterprise into near-space via weather balloon. The payload reached a height of 95,568’ and hit a top speed of 63 knots or 117 km/hr.

The model was launched from Stayner, Ontario (90 minutes North of Toronto) and was recovered from a remote island in Georgian Bay. It was supposed to travel South towards Toronto - but I miscalculated and it went due North. I should have paid more attention in Math Class.

STAR TREK TNG - BOOBY TRAP (PART TWO)

Hi Trekkers Spacerguy reporting. We visited Star Trek TNG "Booby Trap" P1 in 2018 so heres the scientific aspect with respect to the aceton assimilators and the slingshot for P2, You can thank Armchair Squid who stopped by last week reminding us this really is Geordi La Forges episode.

OH YES, IVE BEEN MEANING TO  THANK ARMCHAIR SQUID FOR THE SUNSHINE AWARD

THANKS PAL

On stardate 43205.6 the flagship USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D investigates a rather harmless asteroid belt near Iralius IX with relics emerging from a wartorn age.

So when a Promellian battleship Cleponji appears on the Enterprise-D viewscreen, Captain Picard is excited. Well, well, well. Such a fantastic find... The alien relic itself represented "1000 years" of history which takes the starship Enterprise-D crew quite by surprise. A true floating alien museum with high tech, high spec technology for its time is one thing. So from Picards perspective so much was right about it.... until the USS Enterprise-D couldn't move... Then panic sets in...

The Menthars Aceton Assimilators. Thousands of these deadly devices mined the asteroid field. One managed to snare the Enterprise-D and drain significant energy from the ships systems. The idea was to steal enough energy generating fatal radiation to kill the crew. Thats when Geordi La Forge and Leah Brahms got to work on the holodeck.

"Odds are its even money."

Geordi best guess from the holodeck gives Picard two options.. Kickstarting the Enterprise-D and shut everything off except two thrusters or turn the entire ship over to the computer. Let artificial intelligence fly the Enterprise clear of the deadly booby trap. (Only trouble was the ship might not coast far enough out of the "booby trap" so like with an A.I. in charge then eveyone's goose would be really cooked in 26 minutes which is more or less what Commander Data warbled on about while Picard flew the ship.

"Thank you Mr Data"

Which left this life and death decision down to Picard. The burdens of command. So he decided to fly the Enterprise-D with only one propeller so to speak. It was a gamble but no less risky than the "slingshot effect" in Star Trek IV. If it works great if not game over. However it did work and with Picard in control at the conn he used asteroid's gravitational pull as a slingshot to free the Enterprise-D from the Menthars Booby trap.

1. What do you think of Captain Picard's slingshot manoeuvre?

2. Whos Starship would you prefer to be on when crises hits. Captain Kirk or Captain Picard or Captain Archer or Captain Sisco or Captain Janeway's or Worfs?

3. Lets say the Enterprise-D is travelling at warp lightspeed towards a G-type star or sun instead of an Iralius asteroid.  What would happen?

A. Timetravel

B. Nothing

C. Fatal exposure in 26 minutes

Kirk and Bones go on a camping trip

HEY JIM........ WAKE UP D*M IT!
Captain Kirk and Bones go on a camping trip, set up their tent and fall asleep. Some hours later, Bones wakes his faithful friend.

"Jim, look up at the sky and tell your doctor what you see."

Kirk replies, "I see millions of stars."

"What does that tell you?"

Kirk ponders for a minute. "Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?"

Bones is silent for a moment, then speaks."Jim, yeah you idiot, someone has stolen our tent."

WILLIAM SHATNER AND SONEQUA MARTIN GREEN ACCEPT EMMY

‘Star Trek’s William Shatner and Sonequa Martin-Green accept Governors Award. Present were all Six Star Trek Series actors to receive the Emmy.

Bill Nye introduced Alex Kurtzman (EP, Discovery), Levar Burton (The Next Generation), Linda Park (Enterprise), Jeri Ryan (Voyager), Walter Koenig (the original Star Trek), and Terry Farrell (Deep Space Nine) while the new and old guard were there to accept the trophy: Discovery‘s Sonequa Martin-Green and the original scallywag himself Captain Kirk, William Shatner was there to set Nichelle Nichols (TOS UHURA) heart on fire.

Heres what they said.

William Shatner: "after 52 years everyone who has been involved in Star Trek is grateful. The original Captain says that Star Trek is a phenomenon and “represents an idea that is greater than all its parts.”

“I accept this award for all of the artists who have worked to make this show a success,” he said.

Walter Koenig “It resonates because we were talking about topical issues and socio-political content,”

LeVar Burton chimes in, “It’s all about good storytelling.”

“We still worry about living together and having a fruitful and joyful experience,” added Koening. We are beset with problems that we had in the ’60s.”

As the newest member of the fleet, Martin-Green pointed out that she hopes Discovery gives justice to the franchise and furthers it. “It was very important to us anew, but be our own at the same time,”

Alex Kurtzman "Star Trek “has been a beacon of hope for so many people for so long.”

“In dark times, we need that hope,” he said.

Captain Kirks Star Trek Toys

BARBARA LUNA TODAY!

Here's a list of romantic entanglements, historic, fatalistic, diplomatic, warp speed spacebabes. At least one kiss got recognized for real world significance and the other was with an android but who were they? but HEY, what do you say? Kirk got to play around with all of them! How IMPRESSIVE is that?.

Captain Kirk's got the coolest space toys and he gets to talk to the USS Enterprise 1701 with yeah, you know the one! The flip up communicator. "Kirk here! Two to beam up Scotty! (Ok, so he never said Scotty but let's pretend he did.) Being the third Captain of the legendary Enterprise requires bending rules for the greater good.

Wheres the fun otherwise? Saving Earth from hostile entities like V'Ger and madman Nero remember them? Nero was nuts. It sure puts the captain in the thick of action whose Kirk attitude and swagger is famously linked with science fictions leading existential heros. What a role model for us poor mortals! Never one far from danger, Kirk's dedication never stops him having fun in his downtime.

Always it took beautiful women across the quadrant to propel the captain from danger to flirtation or was it love?. Because some say Captain James T. Kirk's one true spacebabe was the Starship Enterprise. What do you think?

SPITTING IMAGE - SPOCK BEING SPOCK

Everyone remembers Leonard Nimoy the actor whose Spock character appeared in Star Trek TOS approx 79 times. As it happens he's written two "Spock" books.

Turns out pointy ears 1975 autobiography protests his innocence at being typecast as the the cold blooded Vulcan Science Officer from the future, logically playing second fiddle to Captain Kirk commanding the USS Enterprise Ncc 1701.

So heres Spock, I mean Leonard Nimoy on Spitting 10 years later - 1987. Grandpa the real actor except God bless, he couldn't make his Vulcanian mind up..... and a sequel, titled. I Am Spock followed which he signed for me in 1995. Fascinating read, Nimoy conducts conversations with his half vulcan character in his head....

Enjoy the spitting images hilarity, gotta love those floppy ears...

Star Trek Family

Gabriel Lorca is played by Jason Isaacs who stars in CBS latest prequel Star Trek universe - 10 years before Captain Kirk. Here's a great shot of Isaac's family smiling for London's 61st London Film Premiere.

Jason with wife and daughters. Ruby, lily and Emma

Holding Star Trek: The Original Series in remarkably high esteem, Jason Isaacs' initial reaction to being asked to appear in Star Trek: Discovery was to turn down the offer, adamant that he didn't want to participate in a horribly diluted version of the series that he respected so much.

"But then," he continued, "I set up a Skype, a slightly reluctant Skype, with these guys, and they had a great story to tell. They had a great character to play. And so, I shrugged off any of the yolk of the past and just jumped in to play this, to do this story."

So, all I meant was that I don't think about any of that stuff, because I couldn't go to work if I felt like the ghost of Bill Shatner and Patrick Stewart were breathing down my costume (laughter), and that there were 20 million people watching to see whether I cross my legs or press the left button or the right button.

Family is special. What are you doing this Christmas? Heres Wil Wheaton aka Wesley Crusher four days ago at a Star Wars movie!

“I loved #TheLastJedi!,” Wheaton tweeted out after the premiere. “It hit all the right notes for me, and seeing it in the Chinese Theater, surrounded by my fellow nerds was glorious. The Force was with us.
“Oh, and I went in costume for the first time ever, because I am a damn adult and I get to decide what that means.”

Have you seen Star Wars the Last Jedi? Were you one of Jedi or the Sith? Did you wear your uniform? Spot any Trekkies hiding in the audience wearing a Starfleet uniform? Star Trek TNG Star Wil Wheaton did!

REMAKES BLOGFEST - 'Star Trek Classic Series Vs Star Trek 2009'

The time to write about our favorite  MOVIES - MUSIC or BOOKS for the Remakes Blogfest is here. We're all got them haven't we? Hosted by Alex J. Cavanaugh and Heather M. Gardner. Here is my Remakes Sci Fi Movie selection for Alex's and Heather's Blogfest!

In the beginning, Gene Roddenberry created Star Trek for life forms across galaxy to enjoy. Today the epic saga continues for countless Earthers on our happy blue ball far and beyond.

The most famous starship USS Enterprise NCC 1701 became a marvel of science fiction when Captain James T Kirk took command. No-one expected the compadres Kirk, Spock and Dr McCoy to hit it off during their 3 year mission but they did.

RARE 1966 SHOT OF SHATNER, KELLEY AND NIMOY

Humans and Aliens worked together using futuristic technology. Logic, enthusiastic acting and goofing off behind the camera produced characters and stories rooted in trust filmed in a family atmosphere.

Uhura kept Starfleet hailing frequencies open. Star Trek's science, conflicted characters and spacebabes worked wonders on young audiences, in particular and many came back for lots more sexy teasers. Star Trek represented true hope and service to humanity, so much was right about it.

UHURA - HAILING FREQUENCIES OPEN CAPTAIN
J.J. abrams rocketing reboot of the franchise with new concepts, two Spocks - one a little more rock n' roll than the other....

speed races and fist fights surprised the heck out of most fans. Gavin Vigor pointed out: How come the planet Spock was on wasn't also destroyed by the black hole affects?

So yes, we know Vulcan turned into a dust bowl and Romulus was engulfed by a supernova. The villain, Nero wanted revenge for the destruction of Romulus, so he used a micro-singularity within Spock's planet to punish him because the Vulcan's "red matter" blackhole plan failed!

At the time jazzed trekkers had huge expectations for Star Trek - "The Future Begins". Isn't it fun watching Kirk (JR) drive the 1965 Stingray Corvette into a massive abyss?

Star Trek 2009 was a box office hit for 385.7 million reasons with Kirk talking sexy to Uhura at Bar Fights, but hey! Kirks the underdog - he's not the captain yet! So he gets his butt whooped over code cracker, Nyota Uhura - Theres such a touching sense of family here which evolves during this rapid fire, two hour long reboot origin story....

DR MCCOY IS STUMPED ARE YOU?

The new timeline has many wondrous aspects to it, implications, opportunities for the writers and even dangers from Kirk trying to hit on Uhura, the barfight, the Kobayashi Maru Test, Spock (JR) losing his emotional cool and sticking it to his Vulcan Science Academy Elders.

SULU, UHURA, SPOCK, KIRK, CHEKOV, DR MCCOY, SCOTTY
AND DIRECTOR J.J. ABRAMS

"You have done well Spock despite your disadvantage" The movie is loaded with plenty of action packed entertainment.

Chris Hemsworth stars as George Samuel Kirk in a final countdown with Romulan planet destroyer, Nero played by Eric Bana at the start. Meanwhile the USS Kelvin has big problems but George stuck to his guns and fair ball to him.

I mean the guy goes down with the ship and he's only Captain for a day. You gotta love Abrams movie style because he doesn't rip off Star Trek's Classic Series but reinvents the timeline with a classy prequel. I recommend watching Star Trek 2009 because its fun and the movie flies by in a flash.  You'll have to watch closely now or else you might miss that tribble!

GEORGE S. KIRK

What did you like about Star Trek 2009 - The Future Begins? Whats your favorite character moment? Are you looking forward to Chris Hemsworth starring in Star Trek 2014? What character do you believe he will play? Are you a fan of timetravel? Did Studio producers really scrap a 1965 Stingray Corvette to make this movie?

Nichelle spoke with Martin Luther King and "Sucker" for Star Trek, Barack Obama at the White house during his presidency on the 29th Feb 2012.

She tweeted this image for Fans to enjoy from all walks of life. The reason Star Trek has endured is because of the stories and characters, long may it continue.

What say you? yeah you!
You're a trekker aren't ya or are you a trekkie? These aren't dirty words, speak up, you're normal right? so be heard! President Obama considered himself a trekker, so don't worry its cool to be a trekker just like normal people.

STAR TREK JAYLAH - YOU HELP ME, I HELP YOU

Star Trek Beyond's Jaylah (Sofia Boutella) is sitting pretty in the captain's chair. I've added Spock, Kirk and Dr McCoy's  thoughts on alien life form stand operating procedures - for some fun. Transwarp theories and equations aside our Enterprise pals do seem a wee bit mesmerized in this photoshop. Perhaps Jaylahs ample warp nacelles need adjustment, lol

The guy here in RED, Scotty sets the ball rolling with "AWW shes a beauty!" So without further a do "Two to beam over, Scotty!" the word is now given by Captain James T Kirk commander of the USS Enterprise NCC1701.

Who stands the best chance of speaking to Jaylah first?

E is for Enterprise and Excelsior Engaging the Enemy

Remember when Star Trek's Excelsior and USS Enterprise engaged the enemy. Duh what?

The U.S.S. Excelsior, NCC-2000 came to the rescue in Star Trek VI with General Chang's Bird of prey ready to swoop in for the kill, could Kirk's USS Enterprise NCC 1701 have survived on its own?

'Tickle us, do we not laugh? Prick us, do we not bleed? Wrong us, shall we not revenge?'

BY SILVER 7854 DEVIANT ART

The plan was simple. Enterprise and Excelsior had to blow the living bejeebers out of Chang's Klingon bird of Prey.

Oh now, be honest, Captain. Warrior to warrior...You do prefer it this way, don't you? No peace in our time. 'Once more unto the breach, dear friends. Fire!

Which side were you rooting for? The Klingon Bird of prey, or Earth's Starfleet Federation?

Was it really a fair fight?
